As someone fairly new at using Lightroom, this was one of the most helpful tutorials I've ever watched! Thank you for the great video!

Hi Christian......Thank you for the detailed tutorial! in the same image I see the boat is blurry as its a long exposure photography. In that case can you please help by making a video on how to get a sharp image of the boat in post editing?
@ThePhlogPhotography7 ай бұрын
Hey, thanks for the comment! In order to get a sharp boat, you would need to use shorter shutter speeds, then use that image and blend it with the long exposure. Thats a great idea for a video, I will see what I can do to record one like that!

@@ThePhlogPhotography : Thank you, Christian! I am looking forward to see that video where you shall be clicking both photos and blending them in post photography editing using Lightroom/Photoshop.

Christian, Thank you for your wonderful presentation of the beautiful colors processing! The sky is so splendid. You help me enormously with color grading! I am just wondering a little about the reason why the trestle in the very foreground gets so bright in the finished image, compared with a little darker foreground formality.

Thank you for the comment! I made it intentionally brighter, because I like the look of it, it kind of serves as a leading line with all the planks. I think its just personal taste, it would have worked with a darker foreground as well

Christian, Great thanks to you! I understand. Your explanation is very explicit and helpful to me! @@ThePhlogPhotography

An interesting video as always but it looked to me that the colour in the sky before desaturation is very similar to the colours after increasing saturation and split toning (except for the yellow luminance). That maybe because I viewed the video on an iPad rather than a 4k monitor. Even so it’s still a very good video. Thanks.

Nice job. I would add some more vignetting in the corners to bring focus more to the main parts of the shot. Right now my eye wants to jump around a lot.

Thanks for your comment, more vignetting would work indeed

Thank you. I like the original better! Isn’t the subject the sky-?? So, I would have tweaked the sky as you did but the foreground should be dark because we can’t see that your boat is very much blurred…and the foreground is of no interest in my eyes. YOU did lightning up a part of the image that gives another lecture and a confusing one. Mfg,
