Thanks for this video, it was very informative and I'll definitely be using these tips for next semester. Is it possible to do a video detailing the specific modules you took at uni? I think that would be a very informative video as well.

I would love to to that video! I focused on analysis, differential equations and probability.

Awesome vid. I'd love to know: What are the things you'd go back & improve if you could with your current knowledge & experience? (I'm guessing active recall fits into that)

Thanks! Yes definitely active recall. I would maybe not do the additional modules and go for the core and apply 80/20. That way I would have fewer lectures and more free time. I also wish I was more collaborative as I think I would have learned more and actually done better overall. I wish I had networked with the professors who ran the course more and asked more questions. Hope that helps!

I will take mathematics in Warwick University for three-yeear degree. I want to prepare for the math courses like algebra and analysis. I use the book Algebra and Geometry which is suggested by Warwick on the web. However, the abstract algebra part is really tough. Can you give me some suggestions? I feel painful now.

Hey Ruichen, I found the books “3000 solved problems in calculus/linear algebra” to be really helpful when I was there. Sorry to hear it’s painful!

Hi how many additional modules were you allowed to take especially stats
@JoshPalmer213 ай бұрын
Hi, I think you could take as many as you liked, but I did 2 extra so as to not overstretch !

@@JoshPalmer21 i think on their website they said 30 CATS of unusual options only which is kinda annoying because i really want to do time series, generalised linear models, and one more unusual option.

I am going for diploma+M.S in Maths at Warwick University, can you tell me about job opportunities after M.S in math? Because when my academic journey in Math inevitably fails, I would need a job I did my bachelor's in mechanical engineering and spent my next wearing as a financial consultant at E.Y (Yes I quit my job to pursue Math)

Hey! Thanks for the question. I would say job opportunities are good, although I went down the grad scheme route. In my opinion, the best thing you can do to improve your prospects is to gain experience through part time work or an internship. Glad to hear you are pursuing Math and I hope it all works out for you :)
