People use the terms interchangeably but they are slightly different in their context. But the bottom line is that you are working full time in both and you require work permit for both too.

Post Graduate Certificate programmes are equally eligible for co-op, for instance, Niagara College Toronto Human Resource Mgt students - 1 year program have compulsory co-op.
