4th year CpE student here, it really sucked that my college education started with the COVID pandemic. I learned through online classes but that was not enough. There were some gaps of knowledge especially on the hardware side. I barely know anything hardware other than knowing how to just code an Arduino and do simple circuitry. Just like you, I've taken an interest and chosen a path of being web developer. Just like what you've said, there are lots of ways to learn since there is the internet but without discipline and ways of learning efficiently it will be hard. Especially yung part na madami kang aapplyan pero mas madaming rejections makukuha mo before that one job na mag aaccept sayo, due to the high competition and high requirements needs ng ilang company. I recently graduated this year also as a Comp Eng student. Because of the broad spectrum of Computer Engineering, merong network, software, hardware it is really difficult to find where you belong in that spectrum. I started my post graduation really depressed continually asking myself what I really want to do in life I've faced multiple rejections from companies back and forth, which can really be quite depressing and cause you a lot of self doubt. My only advise is to keep trying and never give up, Keep your doors and mind open, especially if you're like me who struggles to find their niche in life, But that's the beauty of it, You're a jack of all trades. You can be in any environment and you will still thrive. That one job is just waiting for you.

I'm currently in my 3rd year now in IT. Sobrang natamaan ako dun sa "wala lang sipag mag simula" i'm also stuck with the bangon-say present-cellphone-higa routine. Right now i'm really asking myself if i really want this course or not o baka naman gusto ko sya pero na o-overwhelmed lang ako sa mga bagay bagay since sobrang lawak ng scope ng course. Minsan naiisip ko na baka maling type of course lang since i like building things kasi talaga nung bata pa ako (i love legos, jigsaw puzzles, and blocks). Go with the flow nalang talaga ang mindset ko now since puro na ako overthink about sa future ko. I'll just do my best with what i have on my plate right now. I just hope na magigising nalang ako isang araw na malalaman ko na kung ano ba talagang gusto ko HAHAHHAH. Big hugs sa mga students out there. Galingan nyo always. I think sa pinas okay pa ang mga IT/CS courses for now, but in other countries like Canada or North America in general, hindi na masyado viable as it is way too competitive na and it is being outsourced in other countries. I finished IT with honours in college, most of my courses were programming. My favourite course was Data Structures and Algorithms as it really challenged me and helped me become a better programmer. Most of the courses I took were programming related and I'm confident with my skills but it's been over 1-year na since nag graduate ako still no job offers padin in the SD/IT field. I know that there are more opportunities online, but I'm an onsite kind of persom as I hate staying at home for work 😂 I've decided na I'm gonna go back to college again to study something else, and my tip to the people na mahina pa sa computer programming logic is mag ask ng questions if you don't understand something and make sure you understand programming fundamentals well. I had friends na they didn't know programming fundamentals and nahirapan sila for the rest of the course ng sobra 😂

Hi there, I'm currently a grade 12 SHS student and before that lemme just say I've always been interested in learning more about computers so when Grade 11 happened I didn't have to doubt my career choice on which strand I take so I took the path of the TVL-ICT strand which mainly focuses on learning about either software or hardware computers or can even be both depending on the school. I didn't regret that choice because I learned so much more on what I barely know about computers and now I'm planning on taking Computer Science in college. I'd say go for what you enjoy or what you are interested in despite the thorny and bumpy road ahead as long as you have the motivation!!! Ask ko lang if i-include ko ba mga past works ko? lahat po ba or yung mga magaganda lang at eye catching projects? kasi some of the project are rushed sya kaya may time na spaghetti code
