I am currently pursuing the 4.5 year course bachelor of physiotherapy.. and I have completed third year ..but now I have realised that I want to make my career in public health care So I don't want to continue physiotherapy and I have decided to change my course for graduation.. I submitted my Cambridge IGCSE certificate for the language section. I am from Africa and I dont see the necessity of doing an English test as my IGCSE English was firs language English. I got accepted. Unconditional offer

I don't remember it being specifically asked. I had some extra curriculars on my cv, but not at all relevant to the degree. I think either way you would be able to put together a nice application.

I was just wondering what you think are the most important things to highlight in the statement and any tips you have about making your statement stand out. Give me a topic and I can write ya a paper but when it comes to writing about myself in this context I struggle a bit

@@katies6523 I focussed on why I wanted to do this particular programme and tried to show as well as I could that I was very motivated for it. So I discussed a few topics that I wanted to study during my masters. This might be easier when you are applying for a very specific and unique course, but otherwise you could focus on particular research that is done at UoE or why being at UoE is the best place for you to be maybe.

Because I do have a deep engagement with cognitive science, but in my country there's no such degree, so I am currently studying physics and taking some courses about philosophy and AI. Only thing I can say would be to get in touch with someone at admissions or the degree you are applying for! I also didn't technically meet the conditions (my english certificate was too old) and I was told to just apply.

May I ask what grade you graduated with from your Dutch university/ what your conditional offer was set at? I have a 7.3 at the moment (with an 8.3 in my thesis, related to the Masters I want to do) and am a little scared that it is not worth applying bc I slacked a little in the beginning of my study. Again, obviously completely fine if you do not feel comfortable telling me this!

I definitely think it is worth looking into applying! The conditional offer I got was set at a 2:1, which is generally consider a pretty good grade and. probably not an uncommon condition, although it might differ per degree? However, a 2:1 translated to a 7, which I found lower than I expected, but worked just fine for me. My average was higher, but my thesis grade was lower for the bachelor degree I got my unconditional offer with. (I got a second degree with the exact same grades as yours ö but I only officially finished that late in august before I went to Edi.) Good luck!
