2:40 I think 1 reason for the newer players having this mindset is cuz of all the yters nowadays like bedlessnoob cheetahh or even the lb pot players that click 20, the German extension servers, ranked bw, and how popular butterflying has become. Unlike times like 2016-2018, lots of different gamemodes and their respective communities nowadays encourage and place a big emphasis on high cps. Obv it’s not relatively as big in the buhc/classic communities but it has carried over quite a bit

When you casually click at a consistent pace you tend to use your wrist a lot. I would recommend locking your wrist onto the mouse if you normal click so you could be more prone to arm aiming.

This actually a good video, I personally normal click without w-tapping or s-tapping or block hitting, and I do just fine, all I do is strafe and space and I get crazy combo's, I would love to learn how to w-tap, it would improve my gameplay, but you honestly just need to find what's easier for you, and prioritize it well For example: I can't w-tap, but I can strafe. Then work on your strafe and slowy get better at w-tapping

I'd like to add some information, but I overall agree with it. I click 6cps, I have the entire time I have played Minecraft PVP (over 5 years), except for every once in a while when a friend asks me to butterfly click against them. There are 2 main drawbacks to low cps, less responsive hits, and taking more kb/moving faster. For me, the bigger disadvantage is less responsive hits, due to my high ms, (120ms, no im not EU just bad routing) (these examples are a bit simplified) Hit responsiveness: If two players are fighting each other, the person with higher cps will get the first hit the majority of the time, this ratio depends on the cps difference. For example, 6cps vs 10cps isn't that bad, maybe you would still get the first hit 30% of the time, but 6cps vs 20cps, you will almost never get the first hit. this is because the attack packets are sent at different rates, 20cps is 1 every 50ms, vs 6cps which is about every 165ms, this means that the moment you can hit each other, the person that sends the packet first will get the hit, and if you are sending them faster, your more likely to get the first packet. In-game this means you will lose trades more often, and struggle to get first hits, which are very important for winning trades and starting combos, and even if you do start a combo, it's much easier for other people to get out of them because there hits may register before yours, even though if you clicked the same cps as them you never would have lost the combo, because of this low cps players need to be more precise with spacing and movement compared to people that click faster. Taking more kb/moving faster: The other disadvantage of clicking slow is you will take more kb and will lose trades most of the time when fighting people that click faster, but also even if you do win a trade, its harder to keep the combo because you are moving faster which makes it easier to accidentally move into your opponent's range, and lose the combo. In-game this means that you have much less margin for error in combos & trading, and sometimes you just won't win trades no matter what. The sad reality is that people that click 6cps vs people that click a lot faster, is as much, if not more of a disadvantage than fighting someone who is auto-clicking... To my knowledge, no one has hit leaderboards with under 10cps in years... occasionally players manage to hit lbs with around 10-11 cps tho part of this is because of how low kb is on modern servers, with higher kb cps matters less, there are people that will 10+ pot me consistently on mmc or lunar, but when we got whitelisted for a bit on Minecraft Pro League, (an upcoming server with high kb) they had a much harder time beating me, and the fights were much closer. There are some people I fight that I just can't beat, because even if besides cps im an overall better player, them having higher cps will more than make up for it I click 6cps, or at least that's what I call it, sometimes when im warmed up I average more like 8cps, I also have high ping which puts me at more of a disadvantage, the only player I can think of to hit leaderboards with 6cps was potfast, and he had like under 30ping, eventually he even stopped clicking 6cps because he was better if he jitter clicked. The server that potfast hit leaderboards on was pvplounge, and at the time PvPLounge had high kb, and a good server in general. Sorry for the long comment, i just had a lot that i wanted to say

this man is spitting absolute facts what you said about not being able to beat some people due to cps is really true though and i felt that a lot. maybe i should’ve been harsher in the video with the reality check but the difference is substantial and most people would never get it until they try playing at the low end of the spectrum and seeing the hit difference, as you cited. in my personal opinion it’s easier to get away with clicking slower in the rod gamemodes (what i personally play) compared to the pot gamemodes due to how flexible you can be with a rod depending on your playstyle but it certainly will still hold you back a lot. that still doesn’t mean it’s easy though, it’s still extremely difficult, it’s just better imo for lower cps players if a comparison to pot were to be made (at least for the servers i play on)

​@@seekingattention yeah rodpvp isnt as bad as nodebuff, there's a lot more strategy. Debuff is also affected less by cps than nodebuff. A while ago i was fighting DjThread in debuff, and i was getting him to like 3-6 pots pretty consistently. I then decided to duel him in nodebuff and got like 11 potted... DjThread is way better at debuff than nodebuff also.

I really regret learning to double click butterfly.. As much as it's nice on Hypixel, Lunar banned me without warning, so now I'm terrified to go on any popular practice server. I literally have a mouse that physically can't change debounce to a specific variable. This is incredibly frustrating, considering that butterfly has been the clicking method I've utilized for over a year now. I know it's kind of a "me problem" and I'm not sure that many people can relate, but I guess it's something to think about.

When clicking higher, your potential to get a Double Hit/Hit sooner again is Higher, since you are sending more Hit Signals to the Server compared to Low cps clicking, thus making the Timing window needed to perfectly time your Hits smaller.

@@lightfire9165 The first hit when you are within reach registers. The faster you are clicking, the more likely you are to get a quicker hit. I'm a little confused as to why you don't know this, when it's the same concept as cps effecting hit speed slightly. My point is that timing your first hit to be when you are exactly 3 blocks away will make your hit register the fastest possible. Otherwise, if you are clicking for example, 10 cps, your hit may register up to a 10th of a second late, which translates to up to 0.6 blocks closer. with 20 cps, it's up to 0.3 blocks late. Remember, your walking speed is something like 6 blocks per second.

TWO QUESTIONS: how do you deal with high ping / high cps'ers that take delayed kb in a rod fight? it looks like they just walk through my rods and get hits on people how do you deal with bad wifi other than getting better wifi? (i have utter garbage wifi to the point where my ping goes from 90-200 every couple of minutes)

1- with delayed kb you need to time your rods differently, usually i'll rod a little bit earlier and wait until their kb begins registering to move in for free hits. sprint resetting is also really important. if you feel like they walk through your rods, try rodding a little bit earlier or from further away before swinging 2- i'd say it depends on what you mean by bad wifi. you can have a stable connection but still be high ms, or your connection can just fluctuate like crazy and your ping spikes like crazy, like you described. if your connection is stable, then at least you can learn how to abuse your connection (high ms will give you hits and kb that low ms wont and it's difficult to counter if youre good at it). however for the situation you described, if your ping is just spiking like crazy, honestly there really isn't much you can do. one of my friends was in a similar situation and he just had to suck it up and couldn't really play that well until he moved back to his other place with stable internet. there's a few things you can do, like maybe moving your router closer to your pc, trying an ethernet cable, making sure you don't have too many devices on the internet at once, and so on. but if youve already tried everything and your wifi still sucks then youre kinda screwed

I think high cps is better for some sinarios. Like imagine if it's a bedwars game and someone is invisible and you have no idea where he is and you are swinging around, you have waay more chances of hitting that player. Like that you are talking about only the common things. Also the combo mode with 0 tick pvp, more cps is better. Also high cps makes you take waay lesser knockback. And overall high cps is better in most sinarios. And No every high cps players don't have shaky aim or bad at everything else. Hope this makes sense. Have a nice day

But with high ping, it has a delay between a click on mouse and to the rod to shoot. So within that delay period opponent can move to a completely different position. So I do think high ping is waay harder to master.
