Hi Additti! Thank you for this video! I am so happy for you! Great video as always. I am in a similar position to you where I am considering taking resits in October with roughly 7-8 weeks to revise for two subjects. I just need an A in both of them. I dont know if this is possible to obtain in 7 weeks and I am scared after hearing many people didnt get their required grades in the oct exams! :( If its ok to ask, is there any reason as to why you didnt think you got the A* in Oct? If there was any advice for someone taking the Oct resits, what advice would you give them or what would you have done differently?

thank you :) i think it depends what grade you’re going from, remember there’s always the opportunity to take the exams next summer if you’re taking a year out anyway i would say that it might have been because i was going from my true grade of a C to an A* and that jump may have been too much i’m not sure i would’ve done anything differently though because i tried my hardest and did everything i could. in the end if i wasn’t supposed to get an A* then i guess there’s nothing i could personally do to change that, if you get one thing i will say though is honestly just trust the process. i know it’s much easier said than done but it will help knowing that it will all work out x

i just used a spreadsheet and wrote down all of the topics/questions i needed to cover next to each day i had and set myself mini goals that way!

Does your school offer further maths, if they do then for lse you practically have to be doing further maths to get an offer? It’s like an unspoken rule

hey i’m really sorry to hear that. unfortunately i didn’t go through the appeals process myself so i wouldn’t be the best person to ask about this. there should definitely be other youtube videos covering that topic in a lot of depth, with more advice that i can ever provide. i know how difficult it is but i really hope that you know it WILL work out for you in the end. have a look at those videos, i wish you the best of luck

i had to put on my ucas application a predicted grade for my maths resit so it went into my reference

OK this was strange. I applied to the same universities as you. Same course (econ for everything) Got the same offers. Firmed and insured the same universities. (UCL and King's) Now waiting for tomorrow for the results. Will let you know what happens.
