i got into emory with a 1410 and 3.7 gpa, i think they definitely value extracurriculars a lot

@@alinab.8185 there is never a certain amount they look for. Sure, several is nice but for the most part, it's about the quality of the extracurricular that matters more. For example, 3 unique, meaning extracurriculars would be preferred over 8 meaningless ones.

@@alinab.8185 I got in with a 1300 and a 4.0 gpa unweighted (I did both AP and IB so it could be higher). But extracurriculars (especially ones where you were in a leadership role) are definitely very valuable.

thanks so much for deciding to do this video! it made me realize that stuff like starting blogs are also considered extracurriculars. I always just thought that school clubs and big awards only mattered but this has broadened by horizons.
