How i got into NIFT delhi but don't do what i did (BRUTAL HONESTY)

hey guys! I'm currently a student at NIFT new Delhi and here I shared my experience on how I got into NIFT. I've shared some of my biggest mistakes while preparing for it and some honest advice from my experience. I hope it's helpful for y'all and all the very best for your exam!

I do think that the reservation system is unfair. But I agree even if the competition was lower ,there still was competition there. Your acknowledging this part made me admire your honesty instantly :)

I don't understand why you think the reservation system is unfair because it's an affirmative action done to uplift marginalized classes of the society. If you really want to see a change and help a community of Dalits [oppressed classes] strive and be treated as equals I urge you to read 'Annihilation of Caste' by Dr. B R Ambedkar.

@@cloudsandwich4430 it would be an affirmative action in an ideal society but it's clearly a policy to be taken advantage of. Why should education be provided on the basis of who your ancestors are? And when it is, people complain when others even remotely remember who their ancestors are. I'm not saying discrimination doesn't happen because it does and this policy only helps in strengthening these divides

@@whatsinaname1133 I hear you but again you are just justifying your pretentious claim, Try to critically think what an affirmative action does. You mentioned why should education be provided based on who your ancestors are thank you for doing that, because the point why I feel affirmative action should continue to exist is the same if it doesn't marginalized communities would NOT get educated because of their ancestors. Your privilege might make it easier to forget your ancestor's oppressive rule, but individuals belonging to marginalized communities do not have that. Again, like you mentioned discrimination happens thank you for keeping it real, However, for you it might be a fact, but for a majority of people living in this country who belong to the oppressed communities have to witness it be a part of it on a daily basis and it is exhausting. So please be mindful when you say an affirmative action strengthens divides. Please work on noticing how you implicitly contribute in making divides by suppressing our voices. Thank you for commenting though, hope you got some insight about the other side which has been kept hidden from you. Do consider reading the book I suggested earlier to further educate yourself and others.

@@cloudsandwich4430 lmao I'm not gonna sit here and let you pretend that providing education based on cast is an "affirmative action" or even justified because while my ancestors might have oppressed yours ( and I'm sorry for that) why do I have to get shamed for what they did? Why do I have to have opportunities taken away from me just because I'm of the so called "high cast" -- because isn't that what happened with the lower cast in first place? If this continues, it would just further divide us in the long run. I get why you're pro reservation, who doesn't like to be the one in power? But it's still unfair. Maybe I'm living in a bubble according to you or maybe I'm just looking at the big picture. Reservation is a political medium for parties to get votes, why else would they not have modified it to be on income basis fully? Maybe I'm wrong, maybe you are but both our perspectives are understandable to me

Can you tell that, kyaaa esa kuch *FUN* nift delhi me mil sakta hai????? 👀 Rules for meeting and chatting with seniors -Do not use any emojis while chatting -Never question your seniors -always be formal infront of them,in the meet or otherwise -you are not permitted to laugh or smile at any joke and just be serious,only they can laugh - Prepare your batchlist in architectural lettering,you may be asked to show it - You should never ask them personal questions such as "who is your gf" - You should answer them promptly within seconds whenever asked - Be familiar with terms such as Indo-pak, - learn the correct format of intro -know the name of all your spa mom-dads -and also your stepdads and step moms -find and have a crush from all the 5 batches -know the correct intro of all the seniors before asking them for any help - *The five golden rules are* 1) senior is always *right*,fachas are always wrong 2) maintain *eye contact* while talking to senior 3) never say *no* to a senior except when he or she is drunk 4) reply to senior within *5 sec* 5) *never interrupt* a senior like this COoooooool kind of seniors, something like this??👀
