A recurring trend in all your interviews is that none of those who got in applied for financial aid. If they had they wouldn’t have gotten in.

@@ARITROCHATTERJEE-vp8qr agreed, but this can give you an overview of how college applications work and the reality of universities like Stanford, which is saying that we are honest but decrease your acceptance if you’re applying for financial aid. Still, that doesn't mean that money is the main factor; these profiles are the strongest ones and capable of getting into top universities. So try to analyze and learn something, and I personally appreciate your point. Keep working hard for your dreams.

@@KrishnaMIT I got into top 10 public US universities which are quite a lot cheaper than these schools and can be afforded even without financial aid. I would like to share my experience so let me know if you want an interview.

Very true Financial aid is one of the biggest factors. There are so many Indians who are better than this girl get rejected just because they can't pay. It is what it is. I might sound bitter but it's the truth. College value diversity. They want more international students. A single int'l student costs more because most of the time they can't pay. If there's an int'l student who can pay their fees, the chances will be higher than that of a domestic student. This is very true.

And not a lot of colleges are going need blind for international students. Only mit and some ivies are the ones that are truly need blind. They ask about our financial condition only after the acceptance.
