I also had what programming languages I was familiar in, hobbies, languages I spoke, my school subjects, etc. TU Delft has a specific page on CVs: www.tudelft.nl/en/student/counselling/managing-your-career/career-toolkit/job-searching-strategies/cv However, because they don't take your CV into account for the selection I would not spend a crazy amount of time on it! @@blueworks1822 I wanted to! Ultimately I chose not to because applying for American and English universities is a LOT of work. Every American university has its own academic essays to submit and English universities have UCAS (However I never wanted to go to the UK because of BREXIT) So, I only applied to universities in The Netherlands because TU Delft was my top choice. That way I could dedicate my time to ensuring that I could maximize my chances by being well-prepared. However, I also applied to TU Twente, a non-numerus fixus because I loved the environment, their campus, and teaching style.

Hey! Also got the offer from TUD CSE! I’ve also done the IB with Maths AA Physics and English B at higher level. In my case I screwed up the logical reasoning exam, especially the predicate logic and Tarski’s World part. Mathematics was imo not that hard, but it is true that we had only a limited amount of time. Algorithmic and computational thinking was the easiest part for me, I think this part compensated the mistakes I’ve done in logic. I do have a question though, as a Computer Science HL student, do you already have some Java programming experience? Can’t wait to get started! Is it possible to get your contact info or social media? I’ll see you at TUD!

However, maybe this link can help you: www.delftprep.nl/resources/the-ultimate-guide-2024 In CSE we only received information about the specifics of the exam much later (January). If you have registered on Studielink and gotten an application number I wouldn't worry. They may simply not have released or finalised information yet. I hope this helps!

Hello, i dont have IB, the university site says that i need to complete first year of the uni in my country that is similar to their dicipline. I wanted to ask if there is any math test they require if i missed since most of universities look for math tests etc. except TU Delft. Do you know about what kind of elimination goes on for entrance exam? Also if the GPA of my first year of uni matter for to be able to take the entrance exam. I will be glad if you will answer 🥺
@itsVidhisVibes2 ай бұрын
Hi, thanks for commenting! The TU Delft selection (and elimination) process is based on your performance on three exams: 1. A Maths Test 2. A Reasoning and Logic Test 3. An Algorithmic Thinking Test I have made videos on how you can prepare for these on my channel. The elimination is based on the fact that only the top-performing students are offered a place in the study, this is calculated using a z-score as I explain in the video. However, you are only allowed to take these tests if you have a valid high school diploma, if you don't then you must indeed complete the first year of university in your country similar to Delft Computer Science and Engineering (like you have found out). As far as I know you only need to successfully pass your first year and mathematics classes- I'm not sure about the GPA. In summary, Yes TU Delft has a maths test they require and I don't know if you need a *specific* GPA to be able to take the exam, you should email the TU Delft contact center. If you have any more questions about the elimination process I would be happy to help!

Hey, thanks for the support. I am glad to hear that! You can find the admissions requirements for any diploma here, including maths: www.tudelft.nl/en/education/admission-and-application/bsc-international-diploma/admission-requirements Since I did the IB, I only needed a 4 or higher in Math AA HL, which I achieved :) However, I have also heard of students who did not meet the requirements or took Maths AA SL but were able to take a supplementary maths exam and still join the bachelor study. In this case, you should email the admissions office! The Netherlands allows every applicant to apply for four universities: 1. Two numerus fixus which are universities where you have to get selected based on a specific selection procedure (like entrance exams or motivation letters) 2. Two non-numerus fixus which are universities where you get accepted if you pass high school, meet the admission requirements and show up for matching and selection activities. My applications were: Numerus Fixus: TU Delft - Computer Science and Engineering (ACCEPTED) Erasmus RSM - International Business Administration with an intention to take Computer Science as my minor. (ACCEPTED) Non-numerus fixus: TU Delft - Electrical Engineering TU Twente - Technical Computer Science I did not apply to universities outside of The Netherlands because my dream university for my bachelor's degree was TU Delft so I wanted to focus on that!😁 I hope this helps! 💫

@@itsVidhisVibes Thanks so much! Also, do you need any personal or supplemental essays? Any letters of recommendation perhaps? (Talking about the unis in Netherlands)
@itsVidhisVibes2 ай бұрын
@@zhasminzh53 Every university has different requirements!! Most of the universities in The Netherlands do not accept letters of recommendation. However, most social sciences like economics, business management, and liberal arts do need letters of motivation. Unlike the UK, you don’t need a “personal statement”, instead you should be prepared for every Dutch university to have their own individual process. They’ll likely ask questions like “What made you decide to choose this bachelor at our university specifically? Answer in 250 words.” But once again, this is dependent on each university and course! You should check out the university websites, they often go in a lot more detail on the admissions process. TU Delft CSE does not need any motivation letters, but there is a motivation survey you have to fill in. But this does not affect your application whatsoever! I hope this helps! 💫

Hi Vidhi! I’m a student from Singapore looking at Tu Delft as one of my options for aerospace. My biggest concern regarding the application requirements is whether or not to take the TOEFL ibt test. I have been taking English throughout my last 11 years of schooling and don’t think it’s necessary to take the test. However on the Tu delft website it says, TOEFL test is a necessity and you need a minimum score of 90 for English students. Could you please help me out on this!
@itsVidhisVibes2 ай бұрын
@@suave5605 Hey! Thanks for the comment. The TOEFL Exam is not necessary if you meet the English language requirements. If you have been taking English at a high enough level (whatever class is considered fluent in your schooling system) then it should be fine! I recommend finding your school system on the diploma requirements page on the website, it’ll really help you find the specific requirements. When in doubt, email the admissions office! I’ve heard that an Aerospace student had emailed the office and to test his English level they had quick phone call with him. They just asked questions like “what are your hobbies? Why are you applying? etc.” He passed the phone call with no problem and he didn’t have to take the TOEFL exam. When emailing the office, remember to tell them what level of English you took and the grade you received if it was a high one! Moreover, my school gave me a “language certificate” which was basically a letter stating that I was fluent in both Dutch and English based on the subjects I took and it was signed by my teachers. I’m not sure how much this might help you but it might be a useful addition to your email. I hope this helps 💫

Hi Sidharth, the CST is difficult but it is possible to achieve good results if you study well! The other major factors affecting your administration are your high school diploma, English proficiency, and financial situation (TU Delft does not have scholarships). Other universities you can apply to as backup/ research are: TU Eindhoven, TU Twente, UVA (University of Amsterdam), Leiden University, and Maastricht University. These are also in order of how much I recommend you applying, with TU Eindhoven as second best after Delft.

Hi! Good to see you again. The Matching part of the selection process does not affect your selection at all, it's simply a way for you to understand what the bachelor is about and how good of a fit you are for it. Ultimately, it is your decision if you apply though. The Teamwork Assignment is a fun puzzle activity you do with other applicants. There's no way to prepare for it beforehand and it's just an activity to help you get to know like-minded people and to challenge your teamwork and critical thinking skills. The survey contains a few questions about your expectation for the bachelors at TU Delft including some motivation questions. This also does not affect your ranking. I hope this helps!
