@@nubiaavalos8430 that depends on whether you can consider the courses as applicable to your job...if so, you can deduct the amount for the tuition/fees & materials (even if you got no tuition assistance for it)

Hey mate! I just purchased your book and I'm very excited to start my CLEP journey. I'm starting from scratch so I have a few questions.. 1. How many tests should I study for per month? 2. What'd you major In and what college did you use? 3. Can I CLEP my entire bachelors degree or will I have to take a few classes? 4. How many hours a week Is required to study for at least one subject? 5. How much Will It cost for the entire bachelors? Thanks mate!
@callie88483 жыл бұрын
(Not a pro here, but I have almost 71 credits doing CLEPs, study.com, and a few dual credit classes when I was in highschool) 1. Just study for as many as you feel confident doing. For me, I like doing 1 CLEP per month, but I have friends who blasted through their BAs doing a CLEP test every two weeks, and it worked gr8 for them.... 2. (Not finished with mine yet, but I'm doing an English BA at Thomas Edison State University {1 of the Big 3}) 3. You can CLEP almost your entire degree. Depending on your school of choice, like if you were to go with on of the Big 3, you can transfer/test out of around 90 out of your grand total of 120 credits... 4. I would try studying at least 4 hours every day or every other day. Just find out your fine line between burn out and actually retaining information and keep a steady pace. If you learn better studying for only a few hour per week, that's great; if you're like me, and require studying several hrs every day or most days, then stick with that... 5. The average CLEP test costs around $85.00 (plus a testing center fee of about $10-$20.00); so say you wind up CLEP-ping 90 credit hours...that's around $3,000 for nearly your entire degree minus the remaining 10 classes. (And that's not a perfect representation...just a calculation :) )

The sciences, I used social sciences instead, so I can't really speak on Biology, Chemistry, etc. I hope this answers your question! :)

How do you decide to take what CLEP tests? Do all of the test's count towards your degree, or do you have to do certain test's for your degree? As i'm doing an aviation degree
@American-Fairy-Tales6 жыл бұрын
No not all of them count towards your degree. I would recommend trying to get a program evaluation from your school, and figure out what classes you need to take. After you figure that out, decide what tests will transfer. So say you need a math course, so you can take the CLEP Precalculus Exam and that should count towards your degree. But the biggest thing is to find out what courses you need first. If you need help, let me know and I can help you out with it, but I would need the Program evaluation first
