Just tested it out on 40% chance of triggering burst. Out of the 10 seconds I tested, it activated twice. It's nice seeing knights are so mana starved. At most 50% burst is the max amount and you need level 600+ to acquire 50% mana burst, which requires you to spend points in all four tree. Not ideal because you don't get any benefits from not reaching stage 1 250 points

Now they limited this perk to activate with a maximum of 8 monsters only, so you probably won't hit those numbers in the live version of the test server.

Where to look for deeper analytics? How does shielding 304 compare to 50% physical protection for example? How much does it block from a 110 axe fighting EK, and how does it stack up against a 150 Axe fighting EK for example..

those are good questions: to look for deeper analytics you have to do the math yourself (for now, i'm sure fansites will come up with some interesting tools). the shielding basically gives you extra protection and you can check the % on the combat stats window. Melee skill does not matter because it doesn't take it into consideration

Is shielding also effective with RP's? I always like hunting with a good shield and royal & assassin stars. Makes me wonder if it will be harder to hunt with EK two-handed or RP's with crossbow/bow... Or maybe even easier in some spawns, if shielding actually matters something.. Nowadays shielding is useless because of it only blocking 2 creatures, while fullboxing is 8 creatures lol..

They added the mitigation stat that basically reduces a % of damage received by a specific amount depending on your shield stat, your shielding skill and your battle stance (full attack, balanced or full def). It works on all classes, it also affect monsters (they have their own eq and skills programmed, the longer you attack a mob the higher it’s shielding gets, back in the day when sorcerers hunted with summoned mobs, they got stronger the longer they lived, but barely anyone knew that). The new shielding dmg reduction works basically as equipment having % physical dmg reduction stats in them.

Fui con mi ek de siempre, sin ponerme equipo del update, ek 425 en test (428 real) sword 127 shield 120 full imbuido, set falcon plate, terra helmet, todas las espadas imbuidas y protecciones elementales. resultado de pruebas en respawn clasicos como banuta, raid de oramond, catacumbas, me licuaron y bajaban rapido... tambien tengo un druid 430 ml 100 y probando cazar solo me reventaban. usando la experiencia, empiricamente fue un nerf.

Soo in a natural way with your shielding you got 1-2% mitigation, but they increased normal creatures damage for like 1-5%, thats just an overall nerf + creature have mitigation too

I can say the mitigation enables full defense to be something that can be used. However, damage is king in this game so everyone will prioritize damage above shielding.

Willian Araujo Mitigation exists for monsters now, and its much stronger than players. Also strong monsters deal more damage. Mitigation was a massive nerf the way it is now

I think its bug description is "Gain +8 shielding and +1 sword/axe/club fighting when 5 creatures are on adjacent squares." Monsters are not on adjacent squares they are standing on same square

Creo que la rueda ayudara a los low lvls a entrar a ciertas caves que antes no podian, en mi caso tengo un EK 291 que alguna vez me combeaban las Werehyenas, pero con la rueda sumo casi 600+ hp y cazo hiper tranquilo, imagino algo parecido un EK que le falte vida para cazar en Rosha y con la rueda tenga ese extra de hp que le permita cazar ahi antes del lvl recomendado
