i know this is outdated but including the shininess which ranges from 0.4 to 1, the chance of your unbox was about 1/1m or 0.00001%

mmh that is incorrect if you have 1/1m chance to unbox shiny that equal to 0,0001%. Based on market stat ive calculated that 0,0175% of the items listed are shiny. but ty for the 1/1m i wasnt aware

@@Aspectreee Since I don't play the game anymore or only occasionally. I "gave" (for 120$) the item to a player who is still active and with whom I played a lot. I think you'll be able to meet him from time to time in game. I thought it was selfish to keep it for myself as a trophy, so I'd rather it be used and seen even if I had to give it away.

My native language is not English, so there were parts that I couldn't quite understand while translating the comments. You buy items from Steam and turn them into boxes in the game, right? Without using code or a program.

Yes. I'm using some script to automate the process, but you can do it manually if you don't have huge volume.

@Pushpaj Keshri Unfortunately there is no particular technique to obtain it. You have to be lucky. The best option is to buy them on the market. Or buy items to recycle them, and pray to have a shiny chest...

@Pushpaj Keshri There is 479 450 items listed on the market, and only 84 are shiny sooo, the probability to get a shiny item is : 0,0175% --> you have to open 5 714 chest to be almost certain to got a shiny item, good luck :/

If you want to optimize the technique, I advise you to look at the "Rare" items (those that give 6 rags), sometimes they are 5cents, sometimes less.

@@gibson8109 i came up with the percentages i looked at all unboxing videos and my unboxing and my friends and twitch streams so 45% common 30% uncommon 12.5% rare 6% extraordinary 3% legendary and then you got the shinys remember the shiny goes from 0.4 to 1.0 so kinda random and yike is somewhere near 0.4 shiny in rarity so rarest item in crab game would be a golden robinhood or any legendary with Yike! and 1.0 shiny
