1. Finger detangle 95% of the time 2. Cut away tangled strands with scissors 3. Use heat less. Use heat protector and low heat when styling 4. Always moisturizing your hair : deep conditioning, use moisturizing cream every week or leave in conditioner. 5. Allow your hair to rest from frequent hair style changes 6. Keep your scalp clean. 7. Patience. Don't know who needs this❤️

I grew natural 4c my hair to my waist in six years by just using coconut oil, and vaseline, and only washing it when the ancestors appear in my dream with a slipper.

I'd like to mention that hair growth can be increased, given that a person's hair isn't growing to its fullest potential. I've seen this myself with length checks. When I do daily scalp massages, eat a balanced diet, exercise 45 minutes a day, take all my Vitamin B's, and use Onion juice and rosemary oil, my hair growth rate doubles from 1 cm to 2.5 cm, and 3 cm on my right side per month. If I do none of that, I get only a cm per month. If you want your hair to grow, develop a routine, diet, and lifestyle that supports your fullest hair growth potential. Your hair will only grow faster if its nutritional needs weren't being fully met, and then they were. Overall, length retention is key. Retaining growth is vital to having long hair. Why grow all those inches to lose half of them over time?

Another tip is to take multivitamins. Everyday for the majority of 2022, I drank a vitamin drink containing biotin and multiple other vitamins. My hair burst into bloom. Before it was frazzled from trichotillomania.

Yes! I'm happy to find a video that emphasizes finger detangling - I use a comb every 3 months when I have to re-straighten (I straighten it to support more oil coating the strands it still grows very well,) but no longer ripping / breaking my hair daily is all I needed as I was moisturizing but not getting much results before. Thanks so much for this!

finger detangling is a game charger! I have 3 girls each with Mid-back to waist length hair... I occasionally run a comb through their hair but for the most part combs are for parting in my house... finger detangling has allowed me to gently care for their hair and has aided in me being able to grow their long thick 4c hair to the lengths that they are now

Do you braid and if yes how do I moisturize hair that is braided? I mean braiding with external hair..please assist
@oghenewoma4027
@oghenewoma4027 Жыл бұрын
@@evewamuyu8724 Personally, I do mini braids buh with no extension. I have extremely fine hair and it breaks my hair like crazy. Plus my body chemistry is such that when water touches the braiding hair while my hair is in it, it begins to smell and I can't contain that. However I have a few tips for those that use external hair. A spray bottle, leave in/ moisturizer and oil/butter(that's if u are ok with it ) is enough. If you are having a probelm with the products sipping into the braids just mix the leave in and a lil bit of oil in the spray bottle with water then u can spray it on the braids( just try squeezing gently so the mixture can enter well into the braids) u can however still do this by spraying the water and applying the leave in/ moisturizer differently ( Ur choice) buh how many times u do this in a week depends on how long Ur hair is able to retain moisture(ie not get dry). Buh one thing is for sure, braiding hair can actually be drying to Ur actual hair. Hope this would help( my own point of view tho u don't av to do everything I said☺️) love and light❤️ Edited: 1) try sectioning Ur hair while moisturizing so u don't leave out any braid 2) just moisturize the part where Ur hair length reaches in the braiding hair. No need to moisturize the braiding hair itself cos that would just b a waste of product.

My hair was almost waist length in September of 2022. I got braids for the first time and they were too heavy and weren’t braided correctly. The gel that was used matted and knotted my hair with the braid hair. My hair is now at my bra strap and very thin. Never again. It’s going to take me at least 2 years to get my hair healthy again. I’ve trimmed it 3 times in the last 6 months. I was so upset at the condition of my hair. I felt angry and sad. But then I remembered that people are dealing with serious health issues and at least I can grow my hair back. But that beautician was bragging about how she could grow my hair to my tailbone. I don’t want hair that long but I do want my hair to be healthy. I’m now using Olaplex which is awesome. I honestly feel that beautician did me dirty on purpose. She needs to get a new profession.

Finally a realistic video! 🙌 They key to retention is nutrients (food makes hair essentially!!) and not stressing your hair!! I would always have short broken crown hair, it wasn't until I stopped wearing my hair in a bun and started to wear them in two braided ponytails that it started to grow healthy! Everytime I put it in a bun, the hair that was feeling the most pressure from gravity by holding up the bun was the crown section!! No oils or hair mask can ever fix that! Not only that, but I've also had less fairy knots and the hair is so easy to detangle because it remains in a detangled state as its in a fixed position due to the braids. Its such a simple solution but I was brainwashed with buying all these nonsense overpriced natural products that, yes may have made it feel softer, but did nothing else.

Thanks for the hair tips This is my first time here, I've tried growing my hair but it seems it not growing, except by conditioning, I don't manipulate it much, apply water every day, and add coconut oil two to three times but still it's not growing

My hair is longer than it’s ever been in my 48 years of life! My diet has been better than the average American for around 20 years. However, I didn’t stay on top of my vitamins, nor juicing as consistently as I do now. Joe Cross’ Mean Green is what I’ve been juicing since last May! I lost weight and my hair grew, all done in a healthy way!!!

Oh WOW 😲 it's like I've been waiting to hear this all my life. I used to have long hair, but with breakage it's like imeisha completely 😔 then last year I came to Japan and I can say being black kuenda salon ni struggle. I've seen ladies who went to do a silk press waaah nywele ilimwagika yote. Luckily I know how to braid my hair with braids even do twists, but I can't wait to try your method. Less combing more detangling. Cheers 😃 I could literally hug you right now I'm excited for healthy hair journey

Cutting the ends of your hair (just the ends)every 2 months(right after the washing) is super good...with having a oil day every month has gave me a result. I literally noticed that my hair has become longer real fast. and keep on that braid while sleep...

Hey thanks for such a simple message. Watching from Kenya and want to follow this but first let me know...Do you braid and if yes how do I moisturize hair that is braided? I mean braiding with external hair..please assist Secondly, I am winning off my hair from chemical this it tangles at the ends when washing. How do I go about this to avoid over detangling

I’m glad I came across your channel. Your hair looks amazing! 🤩 What types of hair styles have you done over the years to prevent breakage? Cause braids cause a lot of breakage in my experience. Thanks for the video!

Thank you❤️ my go to styles are braids and twists with my own hair. They’re so easy to do and convenient. I’m also not adding any extra weight to my hair strands whenever I do hairstyles with my own hair. I too used to experience a lot of breakage with braids. There was a time in my hair journey when I had sworn that I will never do braids again due to all the breakage, I think I did a whole video about it😂 Eventually I started doing knotless braids which don’t add as much weight to the hair strands and I always avoid braiding tightly no matter the hairstyle. For me it comes down to 4 things when it comes to protective hairstyles: 1. Is it too tight? 2. Are my ends protected? 3. Does it need constant manipulation? 4. Can I still easily moisturize my hair? I hope my super long response kinda helps😅❤️

I have a question for you. If we should moisturise once a week, how about when the hair is in a protective style for longer than that, e.g. corn rows? How should you moisturise then?
