1. Fenugreek seeds- soak in water for 24-36hs and use in spray bottle to hydrate hair daily 2. Don't comb kinks, put in protective styling (that lasts 4-6 weeks). I.e. cornrows, crochet, braids. At most, use wide tooth comb 3. Use natural products 4. Scalp massage with olive, avocado and coconut oil for penetration. Jojoba and grapseed oil for slip and shine 5. Conditioner with slip like sauve coconut 6. Have a wash routine. Don't brush when really wet or really dry. Use blow-dry tension method or threading 7. Detangle hair before seeing any stylist, or do ur own hair 8. Moringa powder in smoothies and teas 9. Leave your hair alone 10. Go natural

As a dark skinned 4c hair having girl it gives me comfort in your experience because I can relate & I believe what you say will work because you look like me (representation is everything) I have hit a road block in my hair growth journey & I figured my hair would not grow anymore. I did the "big chop" in hopes to retrain, strengthen & regrow my hair. I have been up almost 2 days researching Fenugreek & adding it to my hair regimen. I am have purchased your moisturizer & I'm making your suggestions my hair bible. A woman's hair especially a black woman's hair is verrry important to who she is & how she moves. I have prayed on this & I know this will make a big difference. I am an avid follower now. I am so grateful I found your channel.

My honest opinion is that. Individually we have to take pieces of information from here and there. Pieces of routine from here and there. Pieces of this and that. Get to know your hair. Love your hair. Own your hair. Pay attention to your hair. Be patient with your hair. Leave your hair. Figure out what works for your hair and stop minding other people's hair business. That's what worked for me.

I loooove my hairdresser, I'm almost at operation waist length because of her. Even when I had to stop going to her because I couldn't afford to, she taught me how to properly care for my 4c hair. For the first time ever in my life, and I am 62, I got crochet braids. I took them out myself and did not know that there were some braids, of my own hair that I did not take down. I washed my hair and it matted. In a panic I pulled out my hair trying to comb through it and now its thin. I retained some of the length but the thickness has gone. I was so angry with myself and now I am afraid of protective styles, such as, braids. I always wanted them and when I finally had them I screwed my hair up. I am going to start this journey again and try to learn about my own hair. I have been natural for at least 13 years. Recently I have been doing a lot of blow outs. I do not know what to do with my hair. I was going to cut it all off, then I remembered and you clarified that, a woman's hair is her glory. My hair is still healthy, I think, but every since that incident last year it is thinning. I am excited to use your products and begin a hair routine. My stylist does not treat my hair with love and tenderness. She pulls and tugs. I am going to take control of my own hair journey and get it back.

I disagree about the protective styling. My hair is almost tailbone length and I have been washing my hair every week for the past 3 years and i put in my weekly twist and my hair is moisturized and my ends are tucked aka protected and for the entire week! you don’t have to have your hair tucked away for 4-6 weeks for it to be considered a protective style that’s false information ma’am! other than that nice tips Edit: also just want to add, do what works for YOU! your hair does not have to be in a protective style in order for it to grow! take care of your ends and RETAIN that length with TLC 🥰

Great advice! I totally agree with using natural hair products made by small businesses on Etsy. I have an Etsy store & I also customize natural healing-care products for my customers using only the best organic, hand, picked ingredients. I also make everything to order, so it's fresh & better quality than the products sitting on the shelves at the store & in warehouses for months or sometimes years before it reaches the consumer. I'm on my natural hair journey & I'm starting a new KZbin channel sharing some of the tips that have worked for my super curly hair, starting with healing from the inside out. Your channel has inspired me! Keep up the great work! You're beautiful!!

Wow Kelcy, well done. I like the part that you said leave ur hair alone. Leaving ur hair alone just allows ur hair to breathe and to make it grow the natural and not the forceful way. I like to keep my braids for a long time but alongside,I apply all the oils you mentioned, so am good to go. And that’s how I grow my hair. U and I speak the same hair language 😍. I really enjoyed watching your video👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽

Hello Eugenia, I love watching your videos. They are very informational and extremely helpful. Since watching your videos, I've started using the Aloe Vera Juice, MSM, and Fenugreek mixture and my hair has so totalky grown! I'm like wow. I've never had long hair before but like you said about these all natural products: they work! My length before using was probably to the nape of my head, but now a little past my shoulders! It only been about a month if using it, that's what is amazing to me! Thank you for sharing all if your contents. It's truly been a blessing to me!!!

You're so right about not detangling on wet hair, esp if you have fine hair like me. Even though our hair is stronger than straight hair and can be combed wet without being ripped to shreds doesn't mean it's still not in a very weak state. It's best to detangling on DAMP/slightly wet hair period. Your hair isnt constantly shrinking up on it's self either like it does when wet=more progress. I learned that the hard way when I used a tangle teezer in shower😭

Let's talk about how sometimes aside from pulling the hell out of your hair, stylists chop your ish when it's just supposed to be "a trim". This has happened to me twice now. Never again... Happy to have found your page girl. Thank's for all of the tips. Do you have any success stories/pics sent to you before and after your followers tried your advice?

The tip for me was the stylist one. My hair stylist used to use that tiny comb to tear out all my new growth. I've been walking around a 3 years natural with 1 year's worth of growth. Currently looking into styling my own hair.
@batgirlp55614 жыл бұрын
Same. I had a stylist detangle and blow out my 4z hair with a denman. I told her 'noooooooooo!' But she said I got this. That was a year ago and I'm just now recovering. 😥😥

Wow! My hair has grown SO much over the last year & my tip....? Leave it the hell alone! I TOTALLY agree with you! I box braid (not 2 small) & spray my roots with S-Curl (any curly perm spray) & I redo it every 4-6 weeks, my hair has never grown so much....so yeah, fingers, combs, brushes to a minimum. Oh, plus the BAGGY method is a game changer!

Don't obsesse over your hair. I swear you will go insane 😂. I did that and my hair stayed the same length for awhile once I stop obsessing over it. It started to grow again. Now my hair is 20 to 22 inches long. Never thought I could grow my hair this long. Now I'm reaching for a hip bone length.

I cut my hair two weeks ago and it's already growing back super fast. My hair grows back fast anyways. I already had that kinky hair, even with I had process and relaxed my hair, I still had that nice curl pattern. I wanted to try something different and here it is, chopped off. I use aloe vera, honey, Jamaican Castor Oil, and olive oil. I had to experiment with different hair products. What works for you doesn't mean it going to work for everyone else. And I make sure to massage my hair every night also, it helps stimulate hair growth also.
@selinaBARMAR25653 жыл бұрын
You are doing a great job taking care of your hair! I would also suggest taking collegen everyday. I put collegen power in my coffee and it has made my hair stronger and that also means less change of breakage.

Someone may have already asked this but how often do you wear your hair out and enjoy your natural hair?
@tmcurly5 жыл бұрын
I agree with all your points except the one about natural products. Products do NOT matter whatsoever. You can use any type of products (even heavy chemical ones) and still grow long beautiful hair. Natural products do not work for everyone and vice versa. People should stick to what works natural or not. Also MOST conditioners with Slip have silicone - not natural at all.
@aliennvomet5 жыл бұрын
I fully agree with you on that one. A youtube by the name of Indigenous Strandz grew her hair all the wait to her knees and only uses AVC and another product (cannot remember at the moment) to cleanse her hair once a week, only styling her hair in twists and leaving it that way
@MrsNicolas5 жыл бұрын
@@aliennvomet but she grew it with predominantly natural products that are silicone free. I've noticed a pattern, especially with type 4 hair chicks, the more natural the ingredients, the longer their hair becomes. The looser the curl, the more they can get away with using synthetic ingredients.

How about what lies beneath the weave(Jennifer)? She has 4c fine strands? Long and thick. She does not pay attention to ingredients. She uses Redken Anti-snap leave in which has mineral oil. There is Ms Mississippi who grew her hair after big chop to waist length in 3 years. She uses hair grease and head and shoulders shampoo.Others are Daphe Madyara (even though she doesn't do hair videos anymore), Craving curly kinks, Obaa Ya Jones, Naturally Nica her hair is around 30" (not all natural ingredients but her cleanser/conditioner is natural), West African Baby, and another youtuber with very long 4c she is Nigerian/American but is also a doctor. Her hair is tailbone. I forgot her name. She went to Stanford I think.
