As a beginner to using Procreate I can appreciate how invaluable it is for us to have step-by-step videos like this, with explanations of what you are doing and the original sketch you provided to follow along with you - It really does change the whole experience for us, taking it from challenging and scary to enjoyable and fun - For this I thank you. This is exactly the kind of videos beginners need to lose their fear and start using Procreate. I only wish there were more like this… P.S. This is such a helpful video! Would you do a video on highlights and shadows, isk why i always struggle with this! What does alpha lock do on the layers, when you were drawing the stripes of the trousers?

I’m so glad it was helpful! Oh yes, of course, highlights and shadows are so important! I’ll add that to my list of videos to make ❤ Alpha lock allows you to colour anything inside of that layer and doesn’t let you go outside of the shape that you have “locked in.” In this example, it was the shape of the trousers! It’s similar to a clipping mask except a clipping mask is drawing on a second layer, and alpha lock is the same layer. I hope that helps!❤
