This is somewhat of a tutorial, but always consult a professional before you do any home improvement projects. I'm super excited about this project and hopefully I can give some motivation for the newbie DIYers out there.

Hey! I am fixing to install crown moulding myself and I was looking at several videos and I didn't have a saw (like you) and I was beginning to think I was going to have to hire someone to do it for me. When I saw your video it caught my eye b/c of how easy you made it. Now I know I can do mine and I appreciate you making the channel. Your's looks great!! Thank you!!

I just ordered decorative crown molding for my living room /dining room areas and I don’t want to spend money on labor if I can instal it myself. Thank you for sharing your how to video…. Now I know I can do it myself. A labor of love. 🥰

Looks good. This is exactly what I'm doing right now. I also have carpal and arthritis and power tools are tool heavy and unwieldy. I do a little each day. Maybe I'll be finished before 2035.

Love your videos. I used the laundry room one you did for mine. I noticed in your craft room y our ribbon holder was sagging. I have a great idea for you. Change out the dowel rod for a 1 inch round piece of galvanized pipe from the plumbing department. Also you can use them for curtain rods. I have one holding up my insulated drapes over the big picture window in the living room, oh ya it's a 1 inch round pipe and no sagging after 8 years.

Thank you! That was my original plan for the ribbon holder but what I had was not long enough and then I was going to put another hook in the center, but I just moved on to other things lol. I need to fix it though!

Its supposed to be installed on an angle
@OldE52 жыл бұрын
She wasn't using molding with the crown angles. It was flat and square, so for the type of molding she used she did it correctly.
@Cakepan452 жыл бұрын
@@OldE5 Yes she did. Thats the whole purpose of using the blocks!

Did you use nails in the corner blocks or only glue?
@AraceliChanDIY Жыл бұрын
Yes, I used nails also

It looks like you installed the molding flat against the wall. If so it should be on a 45 degree angle wall to ceiling. It’s hard to see in the video.
