Sir I don't want to say it but you are contradicting your own points, in some previous video you said that if you are making 13-15% returns investing in stocks it is nothing, now you are saying you should invest in bluechip companies and nifty and get 12-13% returns, and beat infiltration.

Sure, here's the summary with timestamps included: **[**00:00**] Introduction** - Akshat introduces the importance of determining the right amount of money needed to retire in India. **[**01:22**] Segmental Inflation** - Discusses the concept of segmental inflation and why a large sum like 5-20 crores might not be sufficient without considering inflation. - Example: Saving 10 crores with a 10% inflation rate can significantly reduce buying power over time. **[**03:32**] Investment Strategy** - Importance of having a portfolio that grows faster than segmental inflation. - Inflation rates differ based on lifestyle and location, especially in high-cost cities like Delhi or Mumbai. **[**05:40**] Akshat's Investment Journey** - **Phase 1 (Early 20s):** Started with mutual funds, leading to mediocre returns due to lack of understanding. - **Phase 2:** Transitioned to direct equity in blue-chip stocks, achieving better results during market growth post-2008 crisis. - **Phase 3:** Invested in commercial property in his hometown, understanding real estate investments. - **Phase 4:** Built businesses generating significant cash flows, managing larger portfolios. - **Phase 5:** Managed a hedge fund, diversified investments focusing on both high-risk and low-risk assets. **[**15:20**] Active vs. Passive Income** - Emphasizes the importance of active income streams (businesses, job) while treating stock market investments as wealth preservation, not the primary income source. **[**18:10**] Portfolio Management** - **Emergency Fund:** Ensure liquidity for emergencies. - **Growth Assets:** Invest in liquid growth assets like blue-chip stocks to beat inflation. - **Cash Flow Assets:** Include real estate or other assets generating steady cash flows for covering expenses and EMIs. **[**25:30**] Tax Considerations** - Highlights the importance of understanding tax implications on different investment instruments (dividend income, long-term capital gains). **[**28:00**] Investment Style** - Suggests choosing an investment style that suits one's life and goals, avoiding high-frequency trading or complex strategies without expertise. **[**32:30**] Conclusion** - Building a substantial portfolio requires sound investment strategies, understanding inflation, and maintaining diverse income streams. - Focus on long-term growth, minimizing unnecessary risks, and ensuring financial stability through diversified investments and active income sources. **[**38:20**] Final Thoughts** - Encourages viewers to be sensible, smart, and learn how to manage their money effectively. This structured approach with timestamps will help you easily locate specific parts of the video.

So we need active sources of income through which we generates income and beat inflation by investing ) 11:27 #bluechips like itc and all grows at average of 13 percent like that #dont invest so much time in building skills like trading. It takes so much time and you may get 3 to 6 percent returns. Rather learn how businesses works and understand and learn about investment and all #combine low risk assest (ex:like hdfc) With high risk assets(ex:like punjab national bank)

Of all the countries, India is probably the only place where, everyone is only enamored by colleges they went to. Who cares, after a point only being a professional good at what you do matters. Why does everyone keeps throwing their college/university names

Hello Akshat - thank you for your superb post. Wondering if you could share a video on - how the money managers such as MFs, PMS and equity brokers etc make on our invested money, and which platforms are more democratic to invest money with, it will be helpful.

I would say that in India an amount of 10 crore corpus is a great target for FIRE. You just need to have a sustainable lifestyle. Arrange for cash flows 1.5x your annual expenses, think of it as paying yourself a salary. Key is sustainable lifestyle.

Informative, broader perspective, if you could make in detail video fragmenting micro topics like how to choose a good real estate, how to do air bnb what model it is? What location we should consider when analysing land or old property, how much should we invest based on salary brackets what risk factor we should consider...so n so...just giving you perspective for preparing next video. I watch your videos and dont follow blindly, if i agree to certain points follow and understand through low risk inversting
