I've wanted to start tarot journaling for ages, this was just what I needed! I think setting things out once a week will be key for me (I'm a mother and get very little time alone atm) so I can just go ahead and fill things in - this will be a very doable little self-care practise. Also having a basic 'formula' to use if I'm feeling stuck/tired etc. Thank you SO much, this was invaluable! Can't wait to see your deck study journal 🎆🙏💞🌿
@DawnMichelleTarot5 жыл бұрын
I find the formula works really well and makes it a quick and easy process for when you don't have a ton of time. Then one those days when you have more time, you can get creative. 😊 My kiddos are mostly grown (only one left at home) so I have more time than I used to to dedicate to my journaling. ❤️ Thank you for watching!

Ps. Years back I could find amazing magazines at the thrift but not anymore. Ink is expensive too so is there anyway to work around this. Thank you, again:)
@DawnMichelleTarot5 жыл бұрын
I usually just use magazines I buy anyway, then once I read them I tear them up for projects. 🙂 These days I find that I use scrapbook papers and ephemera more than anything else. I also often print things off I find online (Pinterest is awesome for this) and incorporate those into my journal. If you have a color printer, I think this is probably the best way as I use plain paper (no special photo paper) and set my printer to it's middle standard print setting (as opposed to it's high photo quality settings.) This saves a great deal on ink and makes printing from home more affordable. I hope this helps. 🙂❤️

I know you hear this a lot but watching your journaling videos wakes up a creative part of me that’s been dormant for so long... When I watch I just want to drop whatever I’m doing and start journaling! I’ve had scrapbook type journals in the past... yet no where near as mesmerizing as your work. You’ve definitely inspired me. Just bought a journal yesterday for my 2020 tarot journal and if I’m able to stick to it, I’d love to build a junk journal like yours. One question I have for you- I’d like to come up with a daily ritual and have the journaling be part of my daily ritual. My question is- as journaling is part of a daily ritual for you, what % of your ritual is journaling? What else (other than coffee lol) do you do as part of your ritual (if anything)? Maybe you could do a video on that? I’d also love to see a video on ALL of the journals you have. Lol! When I watch your videos I think to myself, damn, this girl must have a room full of journals. I’d love to see how large your collection is, and maybe some brief flip throughs of your favorites :-) Thanks for being my inspiration! Subscribed 🙏👍🏻

Thank you so much, I am so glad you find my channel helpful! That's a wonderful idea about my rituals and my journals, I will add that to my list! My personal ritual includes pulling tarot cards, meditation, reading and more recently spending time with the Divine Feminine. I'll put together a video! I'd love to know how your practice evolves! (And I do have quite a few journals, we'll be seeing more of them in 2020!) 🙂 Thank you for watching. ❤️

It sure helped to see your binder. I am curious ho you print those tiny pics without wasting a whole sheet of paper. Also how do you get the color matching the deck in printing. Recently I did a printing and the night scene was not clear at all. Is there a special paper you would use to get truer color? Thanks so much.
@DawnMichelleTarot5 жыл бұрын
Generally I scan the images into my computer and take them into Photoshop and reduce the size and print them from there. I can copy and paste them into a single document so that I can fill the page with cards before I print. Although sometimes I just color copy them, reducing the size on the copier first. I think my print outs look better on camera than they do in person 🙂 alot of times my dark colors bleed together and lose detail too. As I am just using the printouts for reference I generally don't worry about it not being an exact match, however if you want clearer printouts you can try increasing the print quality of printer to a high resolution (or photo quality setting.) Using phot quality paper will help as well, although if you do a lot of printing, it can get expensive. I hope that helps! 🙂❤️

Hi, Dawn Michelle. 🙂 I was wondering, how long does a tarot journal usually last you? Do you tend to go through journals quickly? I started a new tarot journal where it's more visual (I draw small doodles of the cards I pull, like a trumpet for Judgement or a circle for the suit of Pentacles with their numbers/court card letters). And I have a section for evening thoughts (how the card I pulled related to my day). I got the idea from Soul Truth Gateway on how to keep a tarot bullet journal. It's really fun. 😊 I'm also using that same visual aspect for my on the fly readings, but I only have one spread documented in my journal so far (other than my daily card pulls). I tend to listen to this video in the background when I tarot journal. 😄
@DawnMichelleTarot4 жыл бұрын
How wonderful! I usually go through about 2-3 5x8 bound journals a year on average for my Tarot readings,, depending on the number of pages. Although this year I'm experimenting with different journal types (travelers, disc bound) so I'm not sure how it's going to come out at the end of 2020. 🙂 I am so glad you enjoy your Tarot journal process, I find it to be a very helpful and rewarding practice. Thank you for watching! ❤️

This was jam packed with great ideas. I've only recently blown out my journals that I've separated into themes: a word only journal, a more visual journal, a spiritual writing journal (similar to this here) and my final spiritual smaller journal that a write in my final notes that is more portable and sits next to my bed for easy prayer/ manifestation reference. All of this was done with recognizing that some stuff acts like more of a mind dump, but most of it is valuable info I want to be able to revisit. Keeping it all together made that difficult to do so I blew it all out into different journals and it has worked for me like a dream! I'd fallen off the wagon with my tarot studies and I need to bump it up again in a way that allows me to really dive deep into my cards and use them to better see my world around me. I find that when I don't practice my tarot it affects my mood and my dream patterns. I fancy myself an early dream worker and Tarot/ meditation/ prayer and focus have been a big part of that success. Thank you so much for the tips!

@DawnMichelleTarot5 жыл бұрын
My daily tarot journal and self care Sunday journals are both 8x5" (A5) and I find that's the size I most commonly use for journaling. It's a good size, room to write and collage but not so much that it's overwhelming. My goddess journal is 8x10 (roundabout) which is one of my largest journals. I got that one larger so I had lots of room to write, doodle and put pictures in. 😊 Hope that helps, thank you watching!

I like the idea of a Self-care Sunday journal, where you record your spreads every Sunday, and keep those separate from your other journal. 😊 Since I'm a beginner at reading tarot, I only have one deck to work with, and I haven't done any daily draws yet. Most of the notes in my tarot books are basic card info, spread layouts (with the cards I pulled), some journaling, and astrological correspondences. I just started my second tarot journal, too. Since I'm a beginner, it feels like my notes are messy and unorganized. 😅
