Greetings from Kenya. Just the other day I asked God to teach me how to grow my hair long and in a healthy way and He sent me you. My hair is 2years and 5months old it's chest length and am so glad God connected me to you. I have watched some of your videos and I am learning alot from you. I have neglected my hair so much but with your teachings am going to grow my hair intentionally Be blessed dear.

I keep my hair also stretched and protected and it has allowed me to grow my hair to now touching thigh length. I have a lot of hair too, very thick and dense, and I live in a very warm climate (south Florida USA) and it’s too hot to deal with it most times which is very good for my hair. You have gorgeous hair as well and you take very good care of it. I love it! ❤❤

I keep my hair stretched with rubber thread.I have it in very moisturized twists immediately following my wash day. I redo my threading on wash day! I wear wigs (take off as soon as i get in the house). I repeat the process every 7-10 when i wash my hair. Nice that you emphasized "tension-free". I make sure i can wiggle and move my section of hair freely BEFORE i begon the rubber threading process! 👍🏾

My hair usually shrinks after washing. And I get lots of clumped or tangled single strands ( looks like how the hair looks after taking off a braid) . I would like to know what I could do about it. How long did it take you to grow your hair ?😊 It has really encouraged me because I never thought it was possible for Africans to grow hair this long. God bless you for spreading the positivity. Please teach us the various ways of putting our hair into the protective ways you mentioned in your video.

Are you combing/brushing your thoroughly before washing? The tangles are more likely because your shed hair is get tangled with non-shed hair. Make sure to moisture/oil, brush/comb your hair before shampooing.

Is it crucial to always tuck in your ends for hair growth? Been wondering for a while ? thanks!
@lindsaychrisharmony11 ай бұрын
Tucking in your ends, knotting your ends...they are all in a bit to protect the ends(which are the most important part of the hair to protect when it comes to length retention). So No... it's not crucial for "hair growth" cos hair grows regardless(the question is ; are you able to retain length?). Caring for and Protecting the ends of the hair are crucial for "Length Retention".

In my years of experience, I have been able to twist different..I mean different hair types...and they stay twisted nicely without getting loced. Are you able to moisturise your twists before it's take down time?

It's the same process...if you watch my KZbin video "My Story".. you'll see that it's how I started..my hair was short too...as soon as my hair was enough to twist, I started twisting. Before then I wore bantu knot out...go see the video so you'll understand better.
