I love it when cars cut the corner like that. I feel like it's been ages since I was out Kyogle way. For a main road, you can't complain too much about the Bruxner, but the side roads are a lot better! If it was me I'd have forgotten to do the shop at the end! 🤣

Yeah, I just meant the Bruxner from Casino to home - boring as Flying Fox Shit, haha! Hey, I think you haven;t seen Allen and my recent trip down the Old Grafton Rd - remember the slimy bits we encountered? Well it was like that for most of the road before Dalmorton!!!

Seems like a reasonable route to me.😁

Thought of you a couple of weeks ago....🤔 I was on the Isle of Wight on the bike...when I came across a 'water crossing' (well it was a Ford actually, but you get the idea 🙂) For a second I thought 'Shall I give it a go?' Then I came to my senses, the 'workaround' was only about 500 yds...🤣

😆 I think you should go back and give it a go - my damned videos have instilled an irrational fear of green slime in you and the only cure is to face you fears... (and have someone film it 🤣).

@@CaptainCrankyMotovlogger If I had been on my old DT175 I'd have been riding back and forwards like a schoolboy 🤣 But, I had a front wheel slide on a little waterfall 'overflow' across a normal tarmac road, which confirmed my suspicions about the Bridgstone tyres I had fitted. I was in Spain, on my own, and about 1K miles from home (not including the 24 hour ferry crossing 😅) It kind of 'focus's the mind. Besides, it looked deep, and green slime was evident.🙁

Good one Captain. That side road was initially looking like a challenge. Was your place affected by the any of the flooding that occurred in Northern NSW? Cheers, Sean.
@CaptainCrankyMotovlogger4 ай бұрын
Cheers Sean - yes we were heavily impacted by the floods - they were massive beyond comprehension... I still remember them like they couldn't possibly have happened! We live on a hill - the best decision I ever made was to refuse to buy anywhere that might flood when we moved here! We were cut off from everywhere physically for 5 days, no food or fuel for 6 weeks (moronic panic buyers saw to that within the first 24 hours). The flood created a massive lake, between 2 and 14M deep, 140Km long and 80Km wide, swallowing up towns, farms and everything. Most of the buildings in Lismore were destroyed and the poor sods that live, or have a business in them, had no choice but to rebuild as their properties are now worthless and un-insurable. It is still heartbreaking to see both what is still destroyed and what has been rebuilt - knowing it was become another 2000000 tonnes of floating waste next time it happens :( I did a couple of videos at the time and a follow-up one where I ride a favourite road that had been 10M underwater during the flood.

@@CaptainCrankyMotovlogger Bloody hell CC. You certainly made the right choice by buying on high ground. I'll check out more of your earlier videos to see that. 👍
@seanb10814 ай бұрын
The worst floods ever (in white fellas history) ,for us living here in Northern NSW Australia. We lost both our cars and about $50,000 AUD of other stuff. We have since then been able to finally move up higher out of the flood zone, but I still worry about all those living on the flood plains. 😕

@@seanb1081 That's the thing isn't it Sean - you manage to get over the immediate, personal damage, but cannot help but feel bad for those who are still at risk.
@SeanC19594 ай бұрын
@@seanb1081 Sad to hear that Sean. Goo that you were able to relocate to higher ground. live in a flood prone area in the Hawkesbury and often get flooded in.
