How I Lost the Most VALUABLE Item on This SMP

I essentially got my friend and I to the End in minecraft after he died and lost every valuable thing we had like the ender pearls and the blaze rods. We were going to work together to get all the stuff back but he kinda just left me on my own until i got all the stuff then he choose to join and both take the free the end advancement and take the dragon egg from me. In the end though I GOT TO TAKE THE ELYTRA THAT RIGHTFULLY BELONGED TO HIM SO IM HAPPY. (I still want my dragon egg though).
