How I'm creating Microclimates in my AZ Zone9b Garden

Garden planning for the spring is so big for the month of December so as I promised I spent most of the month talking to you about prep and plan for our spring and summer Gardens. Today's video stays true to that topic because we are going to chat about how I am creating microclimates in my backyard. Microclimates enable us to in eliminate shade cloth and enable us to grow more things and create a diverse ecosystem for our plant systems.

If you listen to the end you'll understand why this didn't get uploaded yesterday. It was appendicitis, which lead to emergency surgery last night. Whew, what a week!!

My in-ground okras were HUGE in 2020. They take a while to get to that height, but 3 planted pretty well close to each other were definitely taller than me (5'4") and were nowhere near ready to stop producing when I cut them down. I still have frozen okra I probably just need to compost at this point lol.

Thank you, I told them they have to stay on their beds til Christmas or wrap up in bubble wrap and they laughed and laughed. Husband came home 24 hrs to the tee of when I took him in, surgery went great.

I'd love the front yard.. only because it would help me see how to figure out where the zones are in my yard. Now seems the time.. as you said.. but how to best figure out the sun? wondering if I should mark the sun now? or just guestimate what it will be in the summer.. I think I know.. but now Im very curious. I think I by luck figured out the zones already. take care.. be healthy.. it's ok to be nervous.. I get it. I laugh at the worst times sometimes too because of stress.

Surgery went good. Took him at 245p he was in surgery by 7pm and home the next day by 230.
