I SO get you about the "containment" thing -- I pack separate things for when I'm on the go, and then put it all out of my mind and don't use them daily. So then when I DO go to my daughter's, for instance, I'll grab the bag to take along. But sometimes I'll be like, "Where the heck are all my Uniball Eye gel pens?" and then I'll realize that I packed them with my travel stuff, so I'll have to re-organize! Thank you for your ideas, and sharing your tips and beautiful stickers. :)

How am I drawn to channels that do more buying of supplies than actually using them…lol I used to justify it by believing that it is because they have an actual channel on the subject. After such a long time and the creators saying they want to do a “no buy” or “no spend” (that never occurs), I realize that the purchasing is the main reason for their particular hobby or craft. I know I was all in on this attitude when I first got hooked on KZbin. I now see it, cringe, and actually feel bad about the non-stop consumerism. I am enjoying my own journey towards minimalism. I will still watch and enjoy these creators. I found them mainly because I like their personality. I guess I also enjoy just looking at the purchases too!
@talksfromtheheart2 жыл бұрын
Should I be "offended" by your comment...nah....you do you and good thing we are only our OWN moral compass. I buy what I want and love all that I have. I have not proclaimed a no spend for myself or my channel. Also, people open up their homes and lives to us on KZbin. A selfless act most of the time and if they buy and show stuff, you do not have to chose to watch it. Never feel obligated here on my channel to watch my videos if they do not bring positive things into your life.
@Peppermint_Paper2 жыл бұрын
@@talksfromtheheart Not at all meant to offend you. More off a self realization. Like I said, I really like your personality. It is just that I am new to planners and trying to find the right fit for me. I am just blown away by how much money and energy are spent on “decorating “ the “spreads”. I can’t be the only person that feels it is like one big commercial. I do have the advantage of being able to decorate things with my own art. For that reason, I am coming from a different perspective. Please realize that I beyond appreciate all of you creators! I often listen while I do other things. I guess that is how it is so much more obvious with your channel. The “Talks from the heart” grabbed me and that’s probably where my expectations were set. I am just being authentic and engaging in real conversation.

Yes! I totally am with you about making things contained - I spent time like grouping some my stuff by colour scheme (washi, stickers, ephemera, highlighters etc) so that can grab them and know that they will roughly go, and then I can be more creative with them, and find I am using more and not using the same bits over and over. Like the "limitations help you create" idea :) so nice to see your process, your videos are so much fun x

Your video got recommended to me when I was searching Hobonichi Dailies and man oh man am I glad! You are so bubbly and charming. Your excitement for your Hobo is infectious. I have struggled so hard with my daily pages. Those blank pages are friggen daunting! I really like the idea of having sections. It made me realize that instead of thinking "What am I going to do for these pages", I should be thinking "What are these pages going to do for me." I'm also a Sweet Kawaii fan too, although I cancelled my sub when I tried out digital planning. Now that I'm back to my Hobo I definitely need to hit up her $2 Tuesdays again. Until then, I'm going to check out more of your vids. You've earned yourself a new subscriber. :)

I know you love to plan out everything. But dose planning out every little detail of your life not add some stress? I'd feel all the pressure to find the time to work in all the planners. Is it not an added stress at times? Just wondering how you balance trying to get it all done in all the planners, and recording all the little details? I'd have anxity over getting it all done. But I guess it's just a difference in personalitys. Love all the pastel colors...

I 100% see your point of view and agree too. This is why for me it's best if I work ahead and have things prepped. If I had to decorate and do all the filling in all at once it would never happen for me. And that's why my Erin Condren Vertical is sitting on my desk way behind. And sometimes I don't get to it everyday and have to back fill it in.
