How I Made 25 Million Gold All Within the Very First Spring! - Episode 1

I challenged myself to make 25 Million gold in-hand all within the very first Spring of Stardew Valley!! This run was a huge undertaking and one that I've been wanting to do ever since I first set the spring money world record at 9.3 million gold over 3 years ago.
Ruleset - Seeded Glitchless (explained in the video)
The run was played live on Twitch from Jan 6th, 2024 through Feb 13th, 2024.
This run was played on the 1.4.0 patch of Stardew Valley, released on Nov 28th, 2019. When released, patch 1.4.0 was a miner's dream, containing the pre-nerf Skull Caverns and pre-nerf Explosive Ammo, while also adding the new items Magic Rock Candy and Warp Totem: Desert. Additionally, Staircases now stack to 999. These changes all combined to result in a patch where an expert Skull Caverns dive can result in the collection of over 15,000 Iridium Ore in a single day which nets a profit of over 4 million gold.

Anyone know what would be the best way to make money day 1-4 now since clay farming is removed?

Clay farming isn't removed! When making a file, click the wrench in the bottom left, and choose "Use Legacy Randomization". If you don't want to do that, the best way to make money before the mines is Fishing.

Cordite, are you buying the shipping bin from Robin? If so, you dont need to you can just do 'move building' :) or do you need two for later strats?

I did purchase one, yes. Interestingly in patch 1.4.0 you can move around shipping bins you buy, but not the default one. That feature was added later!

newest patch is most likely slower unless using legacy randomization because there is no clay farming

​@@xeonnelumier5978You would basically do a very similar run, except it would be worse because of the nerfs to caverns and explosive ammo. Clay farming is STILL better than fishing on 1.6 because before fishing can snowball and make 10k+ daily, clay farming already sets you up to make money geode and diamond farming which still works on 1.6. so clay farm -> abuse geode RNG/farm diamonds -> skull caverns is still the foundation of the run, it's just that post 1.4 the skull caverns portion of that is less efficient. Captain Canadia is a good channel for a casual 1.6 minmax without legacy RNG, mostly seems like a lot of fishing.
