You need to add in all the time it takes to sell them, then write labels, packet them, then post them out. Then you need to deduct tax and national insurance from your fake profit of £850.

Some people can't be arsed to go to Aldi.. For that convenience they will pay a fee which is the profit. That's literally the definition of arbitrage, to take advantage of price fluctuations in a particular market, for profit. The example you've used is the same as saying why do people buy burgers from burger vans when they can go to mc Donalds and get it cheaper... Burger vans still exist and probably make a tidy profit.
