Hi. Great tutorial and fantastic funky filtered track. Question. Did you need any sample release? Mostly the vocals? Record labels ask if the track was sampled and most disco filtered they are. But labels will not accept it. Curious to know your process... thank you.

What about cooyrights for used samples from the song? Did you need to ask pr do anything to legally use it and release the track?

Hey Dilby, fantastic video mate, lots of details, explaining each element the processing and the whys. I'd love to see a video of you arranging an idea out from the base loop. Your tracks really seem to flow effortlessly and maintain interest, something I struggle to achieve. Additionally, do you start your projects with a template to speed up your workflow, 6 hours to make something this solid seems incredible to me.
@dilbydj4 жыл бұрын
Hey bro, I do use a template. I have developed it over quite a few years. I am in the process of doing a video explaining it! I actually went into it a bit when I recorded this walkthrough but cut it out in editing as the video was getting too long. Gonna get it all done and up for you guys as soon as I can.

Great track! Was all the processing you showed in the video the final mix or did you do any more mixing to the track before sending it to mastering? Thanks

What's up with the focal alpha's being speakers being upside down? :)
@dilbydj2 жыл бұрын
when setting up monitors you should aim to have the tweeters at ear level. With the way I had my setup configured, if I did this with my speakers upright, the woofers on my speakers will be very close to the desk and create direct reflections at my listening position. By doing it this way I avoid that problem. I actually got the idea by reading the manual of the speakers as they suggest exactly this solution.

Haha, good question. I get asked this a lot! When setting up monitors one should aim to have the tweeters at ear level. If I do this with the monitors upright, the woofers will be very close to the desk and create direct reflections at my listening position. This way I avoid that problem. I actually got the idea by reading the manual of the speakers as they suggest exactly this solution. Maybe the first manual I ever read but it worked out, haha!
