How I made my 2022 Tesla Model 3 quieter

I tried unplugging (only) but got the horn error message. Just ordered the resistor and hoping this works!

Actually, I'm reading that in newer models they merged the PWS with the horn, does your horn work when the pws is unplugged? If not, then this mod is extremely unsafe and shouldn't be performed on 2023+ models

The main problem is how you will feel if you back into someone. The other issue is whether there is an extra liability because you disabled a safety feature.

I'm sure the pws is there for a reason. That said, older models didn't have one and are still street legal. One would definitely have to make sure nobody is behind, which is sort of a given. I don't recommend doing this mod, but as an engineer it was fun to investigate and perform.

That's a separate speaker so it's no problem :)

Not on the newer ones ! Older ones you just unplug it don’t bother with the resistor. New ones can’t do it as the speaker is the horn too

@@jasonnovis6565 My TMY has one speaker for everything it seems. No alarm sound, no horn and no noise when driving.
