Hello from Sacramento California. Very cool! I like these big end-grain cutting boards offset by some clean strips. Nice work!! Where are you located?

@klausalan Hello from Dresden! Thank you for the kind words, I’m glad you like the design. When I first designed this board, I thought it was too simple, but it turned out to be my best seller this year! I wanted to share this with the audience to show how sometimes simplicity resonates the most. I’m based in Dresden/Germany. Let me know if you have any other questions!

What is the clamp in the table saw sled called and where to purchase? What about the extruded clamp around the board?
@davidperalta52808 күн бұрын
The sled clamp is a Bessey Track Clamp GTR16S6H, commonly used for track saw guides. The Extruded frame looks similar to Wood River"multi-track" or some 80/20 extrusions. There are ton of mfrs making these. Powertec, Wood River, Incra, Rockler, etc.

@donlong1620 @davidperalta5280 is correct! The sled clamp is indeed the Bessey Track Clamp GTR16S6H, and the extruded frame you mentioned is built using aluminum extrusions with angle brackets to keep the mechanism perfectly at 90 degrees. I designed and assembled it myself to ensure precision. By the way, I’m planning to create detailed plans for some of the mechanisms I’ve built, including this one. Let me know if you’d be interested in checking them out!

That's a nice router with the extender. I got early arthritis in my hands and they shake a lil when I use a router to do juice groove and they come out awful. That could be helpful to use. I see that its a festol I think. I really like the jointer you have. Something of that size in the US runs for like 5 to 10k, is it the same for yours?

Thank you for your comment, @bradleymccollum9492! I’m sorry to hear about the challenges you’re facing with arthritis. I can imagine how frustrating it must be when working with tools like a router. The extender you mentioned is actually a parallel guide. I use it to manually create the juice grooves. And yes, it is a Festool router. Regarding the jointer, here in Europe, it costs around 4600€. I believe a similar model in the U.S. would be much more expensive due to import costs and pricing differences.

Schöne Bretter machst du, hast sogar den gleichen Hobel wie ich 😅. Würdest du mir verraten wo du deine Hölzer wie wenge, Padouk, Amaranth herbekommst?
@stammherz12 сағат бұрын
