If you want to be cheaper you can actually just take your power supply apart and swap the fan in it. I've done that a few times. Also if you really want silent you could try sound deadening the inside of the case with butyl/dynamat type stuff.

Back in the 00s like 2006 I got the Vantec Tornado 92mm fan for my CPU. If you think your PC is loud you don't know loud until you have a tornado. It was so absurd but I actually used it for likely around a year and I overclocked my Pentium 4 Prescott CPU with Hyperthreading in all it's glory. This was right before the Core 2 duo's and Core 2 quads came out, we were still on AGP sockets no PCI Express. Those were the days. With my gold plated OCZ Ram, member them?

I can't afford to build this exact sort of setup right now but this was a excellent video. Cool to see how ITX has progressed since I last got into computer stuff few years ago and great advice for optimizing around the platform, although the vain part of me wishes somehow the case featured a 2 sided if not 3 glass panel but its not like it looks bad as is and low noise is its own sort of luxury, one which i ended up thinking about more and more after ignoring it on my last build

Noise isn’t really an issue for me, my gpu fans usually spin at 1200 rpm and temp is at 67°C under load and my case fans are at 1100 rpm and cpu fan is at 1600 rpm under load, gpu is usually at 0 rpm and 50°C idle and case fans are at 600 rpm with cpu fan at 900 rpm on idle, I have a GTX 970, an Intel i5 11400F and 16 GB of RAM for reference

I got a monsterlabo beast,… It’s taken me 4 months and 3 fan changes to make it truly silent…yes, it has fans. Under 20dbA at full load. It was a massive headache and as I only recently finished I can’t yet tell you if it was worth it. It’s a 12900k 3070 NF S12A x2 Silent Wings Pro 4 140mm for CPU. (Runs under 800rpm under load) NF P14S Under GPU (runs under 500rpm under load) The idea of a silent PC is nice but with CPU’s that use 250w, the MonsterLabo Beast is not the answer if you want it to be truly passive always.
@NathanOakley1980
@NathanOakley1980 2 жыл бұрын
At idol and under light loads (not running a game) the MonsterLabo beast *IS* truly silent! All of the fans (apart from the CPU Fan, which can’t be turned off and runs under 300rpm) are off and so the system is silent, even in use.
@DailySetupTech
@DailySetupTech 2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for sharing. I was considering buying it sometime in the future but it seems like the best solution for noise is to do a full custom loop and move it to another room and use a similar setup to LinusTechTips, where he uses a fiber optic thunderbolt cable to connect the parts across rooms. It sounds expensive so I'm not planning on doing it anytime soon lol.

My PC with stock case fans in an corsair d5000 airflow and nhd-15...Most noisy is just the stupid coilwhine on my 4070ti...Even after undervolt on it. Imo PCs are quiet enough now, and I say that as somebody who hates noise A LOT, I have a stupidly good hearing...lightbulbs, the sounds of old CRTs, or noises only pets hear etc...sigh
@Jumpyfoot

I also have a noise sensitivity that causes convulsions, so do you have any suggestions? Because I'm looking to put together a new computer.
@Djuntas
@Djuntas 2 ай бұрын
@@Jumpyfoot We'll I always heard Fractral R6 (7?) or Bequiet cases are good for noise, but you haft to remember that thermals might suffer. Just get a good enough case and in BIOS set all fans to silent and undervolt the GPU.
@Jumpyfoot
@Jumpyfoot 2 ай бұрын
@@Djuntas Yeah, that's what I heard, and that's what I'm going with. Also, I've found a GPU and power supply variant whose fans spin at 0 RPM under low loads. Most of the time my computer is a phone and audio book player. I just like the idea of playing games and I'm in a wheelchair. So I can't easily reach the power button anyways. Therefore, the computer is on 24 hours a day.
@Djuntas
@Djuntas 2 ай бұрын
@@Jumpyfoot Ah that makes sense. but yes the gpu wont spin on any models, hell me old 970 from 2014 had that. So like in theory a 4090 would be best for no noise if you know what i mean. Anyway GL with it all :) He'll best maybe is just have PC in a room you aint always in, or even cover it, but thermals is important.

your computer is very dirty, i clean mine with a tooth brush and high speed blower weekly. i have also found it to be best practice to pull off case filters and not just blow them clean but clean it with water then dry it. so just take the computer offline for about an hour for cleaning and inspection per week.
