I made my vintage style Cherry Dress from a Sewing book, first time I've done Shirring

Today I'm showing you how I made this vintage style pencil shape dress with cherry printed cotton quilting fabric. No zippers and no buttons. In my efforts to leave fast fashion in the past i am moving forward and making every garment I want. I have come to realize that I always reach for the stuff i made before the stuff i bought. For this dress I used shirring for the first time ever, and I added pockets to the dress. It turned out beautifully and is one I will definitely add to my rotation. I have pictures included of the final dress. I used the book Gertie Sews Jiffy Dresses and sewed the Chemise Dress pattern, but instead of using the elastic band for the waist I chose to use the shirring technique. I'm going to take you through my process of picking out, copying, my creating my dress. As well as share Zoe's (my dog) opinion on the matter.
