Madden '92. How do I know? Only four Madden games have that crappy pixelated mug of John Madden because after '96, Madden NFL went straight to 32-bit, never looking back. If you convince yourself that you can't do it then you've already lost. I've been coding for more than half my life. I try to dumb down my explanations as much as I can but if I went further than I did, I'd either be giving out wrong information or being way too verbose. A few words I use in the video that I imagine might confuse people: strings: a series of letters or characters. It's a set of characters that are "stringed" together globals: a variable / piece of data that is accessible from anywhere in the program. class: this is sort of abstract but it's a high level classification of a data structure that has its own methods and stuff. For example, a TextElement is a class consisting of text, fonts, colors, and its position. It has methods for manipulating its text related properties. signaling value: a value used to differentiate something from everything else. For example, if you were trying to find a red ball in a pit of blue balls, the color red would be your signalling value. escape sequence: basically a series of characters that when used together, become something else. In guitar hero "\b0" will get replaced with an image of the Y button for example.

Screenfx completely turns off background. 2D is HUD. Instances, geoms, etc is 3D stuff. I also figured out how to use custom background colors by editing QB files that draw it.
