I love behind the scenes content like this; I dont think people always realize how difficult it can be to produce something so polished with a crew of 1. Thanks, as always, for being dedicated to helping other people learn.

Joe, I've been watching your main channel since forever. I am not a video guy and more of a data guy. This video was fantastic! I have never realized just how much effort went into a video I consider a 'data' video. I watch for what happens and the explanations. But your videos work for me and now I have a bit better understanding of why. Thanks for doing what you do and the care you put into them. I'm going to re-watch the underlying video again and I'm sure I'll appreciate it much more as I notice the things you talked about! Blessings! Edit: Finished the re-watch and I surely did notice the sounds the grids and the graphs - the whole structure. I hadn't really noticed them on the first watch but they sure did work for making the film enjoyable. The second watch was even more enjoyable. Great Job on that video and thanks again for this one!

Only 60 comments? That's criminal. Also, I am a huge fan of yours, you got me into model rocketry, just flew my first rocket with electrically controlled parachutes yesterday (it crashed, but the electronics survived, which was NOT expected, it went about 20cm into the ground lol). I would love to eventually do trajectory control. Wish you luck with the spaceshot 🙌

Love your content. A recommendation on audio: KZbin has a standard for audio loudness set to -14LUFS. If you right click your video>stats for nerds>volume normalized, your video is -10.3db below youtube's standard. IE it's too quiet. If should read near 0db. This is really really easy to fix, select all your dialogue clips in premiere, navigate to essential sound>audio type:dialogue>loudness>auto match. It helps if you nest all your dialogue into one clip prior to this step, and it helps if this is the very final step of your edit after everything else is done. This will match your dialogue to the broadcast standard of -23LUFS. Then to match youtube's standard of -14LUFS, in the essential sound panel, navigate to the "clip volume" effect, and boost by 9db. To verify your video is at the proper loudness before export, navigate to the audio track mixer, then select the dropdown for "show/hide effects and sends". On "audio mix" select the dropdown>special> loudness meter. Double click the loudness meter after you have added it to your mix effects to open the effect panel. Select the "youtube" preset, then select "settings" and change the unit from LUFS to LU/LUFS (this makes youtube's target of -14LUFS the "zero" point on the loudness scale). Then playback your edited and mastered edit with the loudness meter effect panel open. If your audio is of proper loudness for youtube the "integrated" measurement over time should trend towards a value of 0 LU. If your video is too quiet, it will head into the negatives, if it's too loud it will go positive. NEVER go too loud/ above -14LUFS because youtube will apply nasty compression to your audio to bring it down to -14LUFS. KZbin will always do this and AFAIK there's nothing that can be done about it. However, if your video is too quiet youtube will leave it alone, making it harder for viewers to hear you. I hope you appreciate this nerdy post and maybe it helps your video production in the future! Hugs and kisses!

Also, watching you pull up a youtube video tutorial in the middle of the edit is so fuckin real lmao. That's my LIFE.

I suggest a voting poll to determine the true majority opinion on the 3D graph visualizations, as it may reveal that those who enjoyed them have been less vocal than the critical minority. I do however recognize the time and effort may not justify the ROI

Hey! I’m planning on getting back into making videos on rocket stuff and was wondering if it’s fine to make music that’s like a similar style. Obviously it would all be original but I just like the ways you use music in your videos.

About the graphs: I think the rotating graph in the intro is fine, because it is basically a B-roll, but when we want to read and analyze the graphs, I think it is best as clean and non-distracting as possible. Edit: Actually, on review of the video, it is really not that bad. You zoom in on the relevant parts when you talk about it, and otherwise, the movement is fairly limited. In my opinion, you can keep editing your graphs in this way. (If you want, of course)
