Will the substrate ever come loose from the foam? All other videos carve and use tons of silicone…
@izelldixon3519 Жыл бұрын
That's exactly what's going to happen
@LukeMcGuireoides Жыл бұрын
It will come loose from the silicone. I don't think it could ever come loose from the foam. That stuff is just about the stickies substance known to man, and once it dries it's tough as nails.
@animalfrendo Жыл бұрын
Without silicone, the foam can eventually detach from the glass. Best to use silicone, it’s not that expensive and will save u some potential trouble down the road. If you foam all the way down and around the corners a bit, you might be able to get away with not using silicone.

Do you wait for the silicone to dry before adding the foam?
@YetAnotherShadowBannedAccount Жыл бұрын
@@ladycathou Yes, it's only there to help the foam adhere to the glass.

How long to wait before I can put my crested in there? I'm assuming there's some time to wait for the fumes to disperse. It probably faster outside.
@qweenkaii043 ай бұрын
you should let it cure and air out atleast a few days and rinse it before u put in any animal

Last time I tried this I had a tough time getting the coir to stick. The foam cured way too fast. Next time I’ll do it in sections. Although I wonder if it’s because the substrate was too damp.
@JamesAbercrombie-be5xj8 ай бұрын
any moisture in the substrate will make it not stick

The rocks are actually fake they are made out of foam/plastic. The spray foam dries very hard and sturdy so it is completely safe.
