Great job Dwight, I really enjoyed the series, and I'm sure I'll be re-watching it. I went back and forth between the Wicked Edge, and Tsprof when I was starting my sharpening business. I ended up going with the Tsprof because of stone/abrasive selection, but I know plenty of guys that enjoy the Wicked Edge. One of these days I'll save up enough to get you to make me a knife!

Thank u 👍 I asked around to other pocket knife makers and the wicked edge was the most common choice, so I went with it as well. It's a big step up from my feeble attempts of sharpening on the belt grinder 🤣
@nathenwallis56643 ай бұрын
@tnhillbilly1307 yea, sharpening on a belt takes a lot of practice, and you're going to ruin some blades along the way. I use a 1x30 variable speed belt grinder for repair work, and tools, but the Tsprof is my go to for knife sharpening. I don't even want to add up how much I've spent on different stones for it, lol

@@nathenwallis5664 ya I ruined a knife so I decided a sharpener was needed lol ya those diamond sharpening stones aren't cheap by no means 😰
@nathenwallis56643 ай бұрын
@tnhillbilly1307 been there, lol. I CAN freehand, or sharpen on a belt grinder just fine, but when I'm sharpening someone else's knives ( sometimes they're worth hundreds or even over a grand ) I'm just not going to take the risk of messing up. Yes, they are expensive, especially when you get into the resin bonded diamonds ( my favorite), CBN, even my aluminum oxide, and silicon carbide stones weren't exactly cheap lol
