I noticed you didn't mention the frame-rate you work with. Anime is typically done on 3's but it looks like you animate on 2's. EDIT: Looks like some people need a little education on what I mean by "Frame-Rate". Ones, twos, and threes refer to how long a single image holds on camera in relationship to frames per second. Ones mean every single frame is different, so at 24 frames per second you'll have 24 individual and unique drawings with that second. Twos means that something holds for two frames, rather than one. So, if we were to animate one second at 24 frames per second on twos, it means every other frame will be different. So we'd have a total of 12 individual drawings within that second. Threes means that we have a single drawing hold for 3 frames in a row. So, if we did a second of animation at 24 frames per second on threes, that means we'd have 8 individual drawings, all holding for 3 frames at a time.

New subscriber here 😊. Great videos !! Can you explain why you draw in pixel line work, I don’t quite understand…is it just to make sure the color fill is all the way filled to the line work ? I use toon boom and I’m unsure if I can export with the pixel line work… but my color fills to the spine of my linework before my program renders and exports… so I need to know the main reason you use pixel lines but smooth them straight after in after effects. Thank you so much for your help 😊
@Rayjii11 ай бұрын
yea pixel lines so that the fill is working properly. also its best for compositing to have pixels so you can select specific colors to change them in post. anti aliasing is applied during post aswell~

Is that true?
