Making art is hard and time consuming so I've started to my lack of skills as a design constraint. But, over the years I have gotten better and I wanted to share a bit about my process as a game dev who is bad at art.

I have taken to doing tiny pixel art characters that looks like I have a style OR I do work in Blender where I'm more comfortable. I will say I'm glad you reworked the art - it's important to give those screenshots a little something instead of "just play it! It'll be fun!"

Art also helps the readability of cards, not just tiles. The cards could benefit from art to help make each one more recognizable and add some more flavor.. Also, I felt that your demo was very readable. I like your approach to expanding on tile placement mechanics, I found little interest in tile placement, so interactions between them could make the placement of tiles more of an actual decision. I think this game shares many similarities to Stacklands. Look at how their cards are represented for an example of what I am talking about (I know you referenced it in the video, but see how much flavor the little illustrations add to each card). Also, good job. The demo was fun.

New tiles look really good! You could have a look at Magic's land cards for references

Is that workspace you're using for the different tiletypes called Notion? I see a thing called Notion Ai. I use a program called Dynalist that is bulleted lists seems pretty similar and wanted to see what your impression of Notion is!

The tutorial god is here! Guys check out his slay the spire clone tutorial- pretty much the only tutorial on godot that makes a full game with lots of features along with production ready architecture and code. Hands down the best tutorial you could find on godot and its totally not an exaggeration

I knew you would start making interesting mechanics but glad to see it now. There is soo much potential for making it deep and interesting while keeping it simple.

100%, my goal is to add a notch or two more of strategic depth without turning the game into a grand strategy game like Civilization 6.

Wow. That's much more complex than I somehow thought all the time, Hexagod's pretty cool apparently. I have to add that I didn't play the demo since I am a Mac user and the demo is only for Win users (which I totally understand, that's by far no critique). By the way, is there any chance you'll be at the GodotCon this year in Berlin, Germany? Would be a pleasure to meet you in person. I love your content for a long time. really like the new art style, helps with the colour blind aspect as the shapes inside will be distinct and thus you don't have to rely on colour at all.
