Nice, long, informative, video for people. I do a lot of hard line, too. For people looking for these parts...the collar, is called a sleeve. So, you'll need a nut and sleeve, for each end. Also, you don't want to run hard line all the way to the engine. You'll want some braided/flexible line from hard to engine. Or else, the hard line will fatigue and crack, over time, from the vibrations.

I just bought stuff to start messing with hard lines recently. That clamp looks nice. The brake line clamp I was using marred up the line.

Imperial is the way to go. You'll spend a few more bucks but its worth it. Your hot side and welding are on point man. I just got a tig a little while ago and need to start making boogers with it on some Aluminum and stainless. Keep up the good work man!

@@Burndown Seat time, seat time. The 350z oil pan, and triple turbo stainless project really helped. Forced me into big projects I couldn't walk away from without leaning something. Easy to lose it too if not doing it a lot unfortunately.

Interesting. Never seen aluminum fuel line, always coated steel. But I don't live near Long Beach, CA. Upper Midwest salt belt during our 5 month polar vortex. When I was a kid, we called it winter.

Not all brand AN fittings neck down like that like vibrant performance fittings if u spend the money the cheaper stuff will be a -8an but the inner diameter will be the size of -6an but I think the hard line looks alot cleaner

Yes you are correct. The better fittings are usually the correct size. I thought the ones on my line were ok but they were the smaller size.

Wish I would have seen this 30 years ago, I would have saved a shit load of money on braided lines. Got heaps of braided hosing, for some reason I cut without measuring or bought the wrong size. Always thought I would use it at some stage. "Boy was I wrong'

Why use a tube cutter when a cut off wheel will take 0.25 seconds? Not being an ass.. genuine question..

Tubbing cutter cuts nice and square every time. If you use a little pressure at a time it won’t burr very bad so it’s easy to clean out. You could use a cut off wheel and just file it flat. Plus I use cut off wheels almost daily so any time I can not put goggles on and risk flinging stuff into my eyes I’ll take it haha. Just personal preference

If you pay the money for decent tools, you don't have to work so hard. I have Rigid reamer (reams inside and outside), and an ARES flaring tool. It's impossible to mess up the flare. I just wish I could find a bender that won't kink the tube...

I actually flipped it over today. A friend pointed out it might hold air if its upside down like this so now the filter screws in from the bottom like normal.
