My goodness Judi, I was so afraid you were going to break one off your beautiful nails on that darn HP punch. I'm an ILNP fan! I Iove how your covers turned out.

First time watcher and just subscribed based on this vid. Your explanation is so comprehensive and I love that you actually troubleshooted for us. I ended up using your links to try the 5 mil method twice through the cheap laminator. So excitedto try it out! Thank you again!

I have always thought happy planners were weird. But after watching some videos, I am addicted!!! I love your videos! Now I know how to make my own covers!!! Some of us like more Nature things to look at , or farm scenes, or farm animals. So excited to get started with all this❤❤❤❤❤ thank you for your videos

Love your content. Unfortunately my HP Punch broke the first time I tried it on just unlamented paper, so I bought an ARC Disc Punch from Staples. The “mushroom” is a little smaller than the HP Punch but covers do fit discs well enough. I love my HP but sometimes real life takes over and the planners don’t always work for me, so THANK YOU for showing how to make custom covers and dashboards. Will definitely use my Classic HP again using my own covers.

Thank You for making these videos. I am so happy to have found you in the planner group for HP Dashboard layout Inspiration. I have been looking for good how to's. I plan on making everything for 2021. I too love using scrapbook paper to cover the left side page of my dashboard layouts. I have a question how do you keep your HP punch sharp when using it to make planner covers? I am willing to give it a try and have already made my lever extender.

I just bought a laminator (Scotch) to make some bookmarks, and eventually make my own covers. Thanks for the tips. I have the crop-a-dile punch, but somehow it lined up horribly. Next time I will risk it and try my HP punch, with your cardboard idea.
@JLBCrafts2 жыл бұрын
That has happened to me too. I just make sure to work on a flat surface to keep what I'm punching flat and not flopping or drooping down, especially near the punch which seems to help.

Hi Judi! I LOVE your content. You are very explanatory and make things so easy to follow. I have a specific question: At 20:54 in the video, you mention that you sometimes get rid of the extra bump-out that the We R Memory Keepers tool creates...could you please describe how you get rid of that extra? I don't particularly love it either and would love to know your workaround. Thanks so much in advance! I love your Transformer videos so much - soooooooooooo satisfying to watch. I've just gotten a Scotch laminator (3-5 ml since I'm just starting) and am in love with it! Thanks again! And Happy New Year to you and yours! :)
@JLBCrafts2 жыл бұрын
Hope you and your family are starting the new year out great as well! For that I don't even use the punch, I just trace the inner curve of an existing tab with a pen that wipes off then cut it by hand. I have searched online multiple times for a simple, no bump, tab punch and can't find one.

I would recommend an ARC cutter. It is heavy duty and does the same thing as the Happy Planner punch does.

I hate when the springs get stuck. I can't get them to release as easily as you did. I haven't broken a punch, but I did break a plastic folding table lol

Hi! Thank you for the video! I am trying this now but my punch got stuck with the laminated cardstock still wedged inside. Can you describe exactly where to put the folded up cardboard for the extra pressure? I feel like I'm doing it wrong.
@JLBCrafts2 жыл бұрын
Above the springs so that it pushes the punches down a little bit to give them a head start.
@salimawright2 жыл бұрын
@@JLBCrafts thank you, Judi! At first I did have it above the springs but just lightly on top. I didn't realize it had to be properly above the springs between the top of them and the metal. Once I wedged it in there, it did punch!! This would have saved me so much of a headache when I made my daughter's mini planner a month ago (I ended up prying it out & cutting the mushroom stems manually). But, thanks to you, I feel better about attempting to punch a special journaling card that I have wanted to use for a travel & bucket list planner! ❤️
@starrchick287 ай бұрын
Hello! New watcher, I am trying to figure out ways to create classic/big cover planners that are sturdy since I take my journal in a bag everywhere lol. I am doing as much research and videos as possible since it is getting more expensive to buy even clearance items. Even with the punch having a shorter stem on discs, does the covers still well? I am trying not to break my HP big punch just yet since I got it as a gift this previous Christmas. I am looking into investing in laminator machine and pouches, I think I wanna start on the smaller end. Did the Amazon brand one hold up well for multiple uses for you?
@flowersafeheart2 жыл бұрын
I learned so much!! Thank you!! Question: what weight of cardstock or paper are the type you recommend for using 1-2 or maybe even 3 pages together of within 10 mil lamination and using Levenger punch? Where it's thick as possible without giving the Levenger punch any trouble at all punching it?
@JLBCrafts2 жыл бұрын
I tried a manila folder piece with a thin sheet of printer paper on each side and it was really a tight fit.
@NancyDarcy-q9r8 ай бұрын
Why wouldn’t you cut the bookmark one in half before putting it in the laminator, then you wouldn’t waste it🤔🧑🏻🦳
@lesliem3584 жыл бұрын
I just got the same laminator and I love it. I also got the We R Memory Keepers Power Disc Punch and it handled the 10 mil perfectly. Check www.scrapbook.com. They shipped very quickly.

I finally got my hands on one - handles 10mil like butter as well as thicker plastic! I used it to make the cover in my lettering set up video!
