I just want to add this as a suggestion: The large white rectangular background you use to add text can be very bright and tiring for users who use their phones at night, and this can cause customers to leave your store. To test what I mean, you can visit your product page at night in the dark with full brightness.

I honestly think they’re a waste of money 😅 & I’ve heard sellers say that if you try ads out, Etsy will “hide” your listings from customers for awhile after you stop paying for visibility through ads. I’m not sure how true this is, but either way, great SEO & awesome listing covers are more effective than ads in my experience! 👍

Because when I have chosen a design on canva as a kind of “beginner inspiration template” that I then change so it’s my design. Then I make a template link but I notice when I then download it and save it, canva links to the “owner” / original profile of the original design before I changed it. I don’t know if that makes sense ? But how can I change this, if I don’t want to start completely from scratch in every design. ? Or does it not matter?

Thank you! I create a PDF with the template link embedded into the PDF. That way customers can click the link that usually says “click here to customize your template” and that will take them to their copy of the Canva template

I sell Canva templates in a different niche. So my evite picture doesn’t fit the size of the mock up phone, so it has black edges at top and bottom. Would you know what I’m doing wrong?

@@Voca-thusiastic it sounds like for the mockup purposes you may need to make a copy of your original evite and resize it (this feature is near the top left hand side of Canva). If the top edge is black, that means your image is too wide, so where it says “W” for width, you’ll need to reduce that a bit and play around with it until it fits your mockup well.

This is completely off topic, but I am having issues with my Canva links on my Etsy listings, my customers are able to change things on my master Design, with my posting my template link. I wish I could show you a screenshot of the top of my Canva Pro account on one of my designs. Because you know how at the top on the right there is circle with your picture or initial, right? Well, when I click on a design that has been purchased from my Etsy Shop, next to my circle with my picture, is my customers pictures or initials, because they purchased that template from me & edited it. Then my master copy is changed. My elements are locked, no worries there. But I was under the impression if you do a hyperlink design, it gives your customer a "COPY" of your design, not your master!!! At 1st in my Etsy listings, I was just downloading the design to my PC, then uploading the file to my listing. That worked fine, but now all of a sudden it takes my customers to just a regular PDF & not to Canva at all. I'm so sorry for typing so much, but I am beyond frustrated with Canva. Today, I signed up for a trial of Corjl, because I have tried everything I know to try!!! 😥😥😥

@@niaa.sopretty yes, exactly! I would make a copy of your invitation design, and resize the copy so it will fit the mockup! That way you still have the original file, and the mockup looks professional.

@@niaa.sopretty I include a link to a free trial of Canva pro in all of my downloads, and I let my customers know in the listing description that Canva Pro is required to download their final edited project. Otherwise, yes, with a Canva free account they will have to pay a small fee to download their final work.

It depends on the listing, really. The competition in my sub-niche is so low that I don’t really feel the need to use all of the available slots for listing images, but I would recommend using as many slots as you can!
