I think all radio operators, at least new operators, carry cheat sheets. And check list are always a good idea, especially when you carry a lot of components. Thank you for putting together this video. A lot of good suggestions and cards.

Gaston, exellent job. As a list guy, I really like these tiny check lists and the laminated reusable aspect. Each radio kit and operating mode has different "must have" items and this will be a great way to simplify that. TNX

That’s a fantastic idea. I can also see how laminated reference cards would be good for EDC bags I keep in my XYL’s vehicle (not a ham nor a prepper). I’m definitely going too implement this. 73. N7TWR

Glad you enjoyed it. How many phone numbers do you remember these days? For me, it's my wife's number, my number and the boss. I keep a laminated cell list in the EDC bag just in case the phone runs out of juice. Sounds like I have a prepper mind set. 73

I make my cards using the perforated Avery sheets of 3x5 cards in MS Word using the "mailings" option. You can print on plain paper if you don't have the perforated card sheets. You can make custom size "cards" in Word if you are looking for an exact size. I also use 5 1/4" x 6 3/4 size to fit into a pilots checklist binder for larger sized reference cards.
@TheTechPrepper2 жыл бұрын
Avery...now that's a blast from the past. I was part of their web redesign team in 2008. I think I still have stack of their perforated cards, labels and other products. Thanks for the reminder! What a good alternative.
@Scout75PortableRadio3 жыл бұрын
I really like your use of laminating cards. I also keep checklists in most of my packs. I may have to step things up and incorporate laminating. See that very handy for some of my maps. Not only weather proofing and prolonging useful life. But for writing and re-writing routes, etc. with a dry erase marker.
@TheTechPrepper3 жыл бұрын
The laminator already payed for itself in the short time I’ve had it. I had no idea how inexpensive they are these days. They’re great for marking and re-marking routes on maps. Did I miss anything in terms of lists or cheat sheets?
