Enjoyed watching your paint mixing. The Science of paint making look fun but as you say it would be a pricey venture for start up. The good thing is you can make it to suit your preference for the consistency that you like to work with. Thanks for sharing. ☺🇨🇦

Thank you for this but, I’ll be buying my paint still. The additives for making small batches of fabric paints or outdoor craft paints, etc. is what I need to learn as an artist on a budget. It’s always good to know these things. 👍🏼❤️👏

Do you use any white pigment to make white acrylic paint? Or is there another method for making white acrylic paint?
@gazsto Жыл бұрын
Great video! Can you use these acrylics as furniture paint, as the calcium carbonate is what is added to most chalk paints. so I am assuming they are acrylic based paints made the same way as this method.

Thank you, can u please explore more about what u hve used as filler and as retarder?
@thebibletalesTV3 жыл бұрын
From what I learnt, I think he mentioned that a filler helps to increase the effect of the coloring of the pigment and an example of a filler is chalk. I didn't really understand the part of retarder though

Hi there, grrreeeaaatttt video :-))) I looked up your store, thinking that you would be selling the products you are mentioning in the video. If you move the links somewhere else, can you please share them with us? Take care.
@zephyrseven Жыл бұрын
Could you please, please :) show us a detailed recipe (the link to the website is not working)... Here's my probelm: I mixed 10ml of cad yellow PY35 pigment with water and achieved a smooth paste - but every time I add talens mat medium (about 15ml), the paste swells up, becomes lumpy and no mater how long I use the glass muller, it is always uneven and lumpy. When I add pure resin (not acrylic medium, but pure resin, e.g. primal a33 or k9), the paint is a little bit smoother - but still it does not have that buttery structure... - and when I blend the paste with the resin by using the muller, the paint dries on the edges and more lumps come up... Could you please, please give us a little bit more specific recipe and help us with the issue? (in return I promise to send you a ONE OF A KIND recipe for full egg tempera, ideal as underpainting for both acrylics and oil - but the one that does not get spoiled for up to a several eyears, that is 100% natural and free from chemicals, and that does not have to be stored in the fridge :D)

How much cheaper than retail tubes of same volume ?
@CLIVE5ART2 ай бұрын
Hi quality paint can be over £10 per tube a standard mix I make is around £1.50 per tube which includes the time it takes me to make a batch of colour although cheaper if a novice trying to make paint can be quite expensive until you learn the skill like everything in life it takes time to learn so start with small amounts to limit waste if unsure buy from a shop as pigment these days can be very expensive
