Good advice. Maybe that’s why putting is my favorite part of Golf since I am an artist.

I agree with the creative approach to putting. I used to be bent over the ball and so tight. I decided to let go of some control, standup taller and relax. It really helped the mindset and putting became easier and more target oriented.

Claire thank you for another great video. For many years I tried to kill my clubs by gripping them so hard. At the end they f a round my hands and my shoulders were ready for a nap and that round was never t fun because it did nothing t go well. I watched you, Big Cat, Coach and now Tim all talk about relaxing and feel your stroke. I occasionally play a hard le on r two before I wake ups and start enjoying myself. Tim was a great guest to re-enforce your point. When it comes to putting, you are one of the best I’ve ever watched. Also I loved your outfit, it set the tone for being relaxed. You are beautiful and the outfit proved that’s you, not what you’re wearing.

Great advice from someone who can putt. The fun aspect to putting helps create creativity and rhythm to your game. Once I see it I just think about the weight of the stroke. If I miss it, its more inclined to be a tap-in. I always rate Claire's game and advice as being helpful. She's a wonderful golfer to watch.

She also has a beautiful swing. I feel like every time I say it people hear me say she is pretty, which she is, but her swing is so fluid and beautiful

Great segment and I really like the "artistic" approach to putting - I've put a tennis overgrip on my putters and it feels so good on the hands cos it's a little more cushioned. I find my putting is best when I'm relaxed and having fun too. The swap putters - in winter a heavier putter for slower greens and a lighter one in summer for faster greens. I also have a rug in one room (9ft long) at home that I practise putting on 20 putts most nights - much to my wife's disapproval 🤨

Not that I am a putting guru or anything but what works best for me comes down to two things. For reading a putt from standing on the opposite side of the hole and looking at my ball, I imagine hitting the ball from the hole to my ball with a perfectly straight putt and seeing in my minds eye where that ball would end up. Then I just have to put the imagined line into play when I actually putt it. My second method for actually hitting my mark is a very relaxed stroke with a long follow though (extended swing) more or less ending on the high side of my line…..or pointing directly at “my mark”. It seems to really smooth out the stroke. Of course, the back swing cannot match the follow through or you going to blow it past the hole. So the back swing is just enough to get it to the hole. So the back swing may be 3 - 6 inches with a two foot follow through. I think the flow of the swing keeps me relaxed so I don’t jab at the ball. I may over or under read the break but I will be close enough to easily sink that next putt.

I always remember that when you try to throw a ball of paper into a bin ( trash can) you never think about arm position or speed your body just knows if you let it go.

I’m quite structured but way too tense when putting within 6 feet and I miss far too many. I’ve always lined the ball up but just started to try a more relaxed approach similar to your methods in here. Hoping it gives me some good results 🤞

Actually I think you have a creative way of being analytical. My approach lately has been committing to being more aggressive. It has lead to making a lot more mid range putts. Also instead of being so mechanical I allow the weight of the putter to do the work instead of trying to control it.

Reading the "Green"...When I attempt to "Read the Green" I am illiterate...It is all Green to me regarding high side, right to left, and so on.. What do you focus on regarding the path or "troft" in planning your putt? Is it purely notes from a Caddy Booklet an Avid Golfer reads from..?

Well, Claire is easygoing, Gabby looks like trying way too hard to become a famous youtube golfer. Like someone is forcing her to be the best. They don't have anything in common. Nor their approach to the game or the way they show (on their channels) what a good game is for them or how they enjoy it themselves. Claire is an amazing, mature player who loves to enjoy her game. Gabby just loves golf, which is good but not really very interesting for me to see. She will become better, i think, when she will feel free to play for fun. I like you, Gabby, but I'm in love with Claire.

Nelly Korda is a terrible putter. Yet she is ranked number one in the world somehow, seems like there are lots of Asians on the LPGA, which really isn’t fun to watch. I don’t know why the Asians mostly who are 5 foot two or so take up 19 over the top 20 spots in each tournament.!! It’s glad to see you guys and make some good money doing this
