Fellow introvert!🙋‍♀️ I took years to ruminate on the idea of starting a channel & thought I was going to pass out on my first 3 livestreams😂 OMG I also wish I could just freeflow a bunch of wisdom, but I have to script like 80% or edit out all my pauses. It's so true that adding variety to videos makes them more entertaining & I personally respect channels that cut out what's not necessary

I can relate. For years now, I’ve thought of creating personal videos and I just can’t bring myself to do it. I have thick skin but not only do I not want to put up with non sense from people who treat discord like a hobby but I’m truly my own worst critic. I don’t think I’ll ever have the courage to get in front of the camera and greatly admire those who muster the strength to do it.

@@benicio1967 but also, as Tim mentioned, you can post videos without you!😃 Examples are the asmr ones of things, the cooking or crafting ones that just show hands & word instructions, lofi with art on screen, music with drone footage of landscapes, educational videos completely made using ai programs, or show yourself but wearing a mask, or use a vr avatar, list goes on

Extremely relatable video Tim (my first "brand" was digital introverts, I had a group which oddly didn't quite work haha). In all seriousness, couldn't agree more with your perspective. I have hit a wall with my channel and often watch your content for inspiration, it connects with me and how i perceive myself, and the standard you set is excellent which gives me renewed hope. So happy you made this and I appreciate the tips! Definitely resonate with those “back of the classroom vibes” 😂 When I started KZbin I felt like I should “turn up” my personality to be more entertaining. Instead, I leaned into authenticity and people seem to really pick up on that. I certainly pick up on yours; you seem like a pretty chill guy and I appreciate you for that!

To be honest.. I was never interested in watching those extroverted, highly entertaining people. I found them annoying really 😂 In many conversations with my friends, they always found it surprising. I told them, it’s just like Music or Books or Films, people have preferences. So yeah.. keep going introverts. There will be some demographic interested in your contents. Btw.. I used to say to people I am shy because I’m introverted. My friends always shut me up and say, I am anything but shy. It took me years to realized and recently learned that introversion and extroversion were just about “how people recharge their energy”. We introverts take some times away alone from social commitments to recharge, and that’s it. I thought I was just shy, when in fact I was just not interested in making social commitments as often as extroverts. It has nothing to do with our ability, creativity, and capacity to work and produce confidently. Extroverts can be shy and awkward too. You can be an introvert and have adequate social and communication skills.

You are so inspiring , Tim! I want to make my youtube channel for tutorials in fabric jewellery. I told myself that I will do that later as it seems to be like a mountain before the little human I am but I guess you are an angel in disguise and you encouraging me to make my dream come true. As you were, I used to be a introvert person and my late dad always used to tell people who would say I was a nice and polite child... "no! she is just VERY shy! "so I adopted this carateristic of him although I am a polite lady up to now, I am not that shy ... just a reserved person in an environment I don"t know 🙃. I tell myself that at least, as I am for fabric jewellery, the camera will be filming fabric and hands and that helps in my future project 😆. Thank you for helping each of us to surpass ourselves 😘😊
