I mastered Godot by 1 month working on my Sandbox open world to test all knowledge and feature I learned. Godot is hard for beginners. Tons of node system. But it's honestly worth the try! I made games in Scratch and Pocket Code for 5 years now. And recently tried Unity on 2022. But given that Godot satisfied me.... I can say Godot is my platform!!! No more childish code

I have a suggestion for a form of movement: Rocket Jumping. Basically if you haven’t played tf2 it’s a form of movement where you have a rocket launcher and if you shoot the ground your rocket explodes on contact and pushes you away from it. Chaining this with jumping lets you fly upwards.

@@ReeceGeofroy Well good luck on your next title! I'll have to check out more of your stuff, game dev is just so interesting to me! I will have my own studio one day soon hopefully and make the best games on the market! No predatory business practices, just games made for fun not profit, theres nothing wrong with profit of course, but not at the expense of morals and ethics. I have a recommendation for a game idea, a first-person, atmospheric, stylized-fantasy art style, "dungeon crawler" where you fight massive hordes of enemies with melee or ranged weapons and spells. The player experience should make them feel powerful and excited slashing through waves of goblin grunts, terrifying spiders, ancient skeletons, etc. Fairly challenging, but not overly difficult. A mix between Warhammer Vermintide and Dark Souls maybe? Thats the idea I had and I think a prototype would be very promising. Maybe RPG elements too because who doesn't like that? It's a simple concept in writing but theres so much more I have in mind I don't want to write a 10 paragraph essay in a YT comment lol
