Lawrence please go to the nearest Airline office and explain what happened or go to your Travel Agent where you bought the ticket, they should rebook your flight with a small fee. You were at the airport on time, it was the EBB security that held you back so that is not your fault, the blame goes to the airport security. Be very nice to your agent at the Airline office. I was in EBB airport in 2017, I asked de airport authorities there if I cld take personal pics, they allowed me to do it freely! Time seems changing faster in one place than in others! It was actually more than that, according to the airline, I needed $140 to catch up with another flight on the same day but rescheduling for a later day was slightly lower and that's what I choose because I didn't have enough funds

That said, it is really sad to see the police behave this way, but let's give them the benefit of doubt as they are trying to keep the airport safe, they probably really thought you were recording them! Are you unable to rebook the flight? Call the airline or go to their airport office. I once missed an Ethiopian airlines flight and they rebooked it free for me to fly the next day. Otherwise they’ll ask you to pay a little bit more. Being unable to record is the most stupid rule. Been around a lot of airports and Uganda is the only one with that rule, I still don get it.
