@@gyan_wayo you can use the potatoes itself to plant but that will be more expensive. You keep it for some time, it starts to germinate, you cut it into pieces and then you plant

Use salt to get rid of the snails

Sprinkle it around.The area looks like it is always damp so you might need to do it on a regular basis if you use table salt, but coarse salt and epsom salt might last a little bit longer.

Do the soil bag have potatoes?

No.. It was the vines I planted in them. They are yet to reach the maturity stage for them to have any potatoes
