I've been playing paladins for years and I didn't know there were launch options commands to implement in the game! It was the game changer for me.

Last week I was literally looking into how to get your settings lol. This video came up clutch!

dont forget decrease/lower your game screen resolution
@qZarini2 жыл бұрын
That will help with FPS for sure. As a streamer you sort of need to go with a higher Res for the sake of graphics.

hey zarini, can u make a vid of ur newest settings it looks pretty nice 😶🌫

Honestly, the only change I have done is to put Resolution Scale up from 100 to 150

@@dewilusiana7884 The best advise I can give here is to just reinstall the game. It always helps with FPS if it's been a long time since you have done it

I run at twice my monitors refresh rate, for Evie, so 360 fps. But when k run in borderless window like you suggest, it drops my fps down to 100-160, and fluctuates wildly.

I would just go fullscreen, its usually the best for games in general

can you tell me whatt -freq 240 means? Is that something to do with 240hz monitor? Thanks
@qZarini Жыл бұрын
Yeah, it's an old setting I put in many years ago. I'm not sure it does much tbh as you don't really have problems with the monitor not going 240hz. Frequency is basically measured in hertz. I yoinked it from a page long ago, I also got some other commands from there.
@Zoozahh Жыл бұрын
@@qZarini so should I use any of them right now? Or doesn't really matter. I set my game to 280fps for a 280hz monitor already in game files.

I play paladins from epic games launcher, can I use that launch command there? How can I, if possible?
@qZarini Жыл бұрын
I think you can, but also the epic game launcher is a lot worse for Paladins tbh
@romanreigns5796 Жыл бұрын
@@qZarini how is it a lot worse, I get less problems in my pc playing it on that launcher instead of steam, my pc is old btw
@qZarini Жыл бұрын
@@romanreigns5796 I tried it for a bit, i ended up with a lot more problems. The biggest of which was -50fps and a lot more lagg spikes. Might be different from pc to pc though, my statement might have been to harsh, it just sucked for me tbh

Really late reply but you have to add them to the .exe file In the properties of it you have the path in quotations and at the end (after the end quote) you paste whatever launch options you have

-high -freq 240 +cl_forcepreload 1 what do these commands do
@qZarini Жыл бұрын
-High: It sets a high priority to the game when it comes to processing and resources. -Freq: 240: It's to set the prefered Hertz in the game -cl_forcepreload 1: This command is to decide whether or not preloading should be forced on a server.

Most of the things for sure. Nvidia has something called nvidia experience where you can change lots of things as well, I'm pretty sure AMD has something similar.
