How I Organize My Clear Stamps

What a great idea to sand all your stamps at once! I usually sand them when I go to use them. I also love the idea of cutting out the images to put on the case. Thanks for taking the time to make this video and sharing it with all of us. Because of the scare of cd cases and melting stamps I put a laminate film on the inside of the cd cases just in case!

Crafty Loops Another presenter here on y.t. (can’t remember who) said that it is sometimes sufficient to just rub your thumbs over the stamping surface.

You could use 3" clear packing tape and it would be faster to tape your images to the CD case. Hope this helps!

Hi Debbie, great ideia and so many details. I hope you use an acid-free cd cases, I saw a you tube video that the girl lost some of her stamp that was storage in it. Just an advice so you don't lose your stamp and waist you time. Love all your videos. Keep doing grill. Maybe one day I came up with some. All the best

Good idea ,I put mine on an A4 sheet of laminated paper,both sides,then pop in poly pocket and store in large folders

Hoi Debbie, Super tip! Ook het schuren van de stempels. Sommige clearstamps doen het inderdaad niet zo goed met de Distress inkt en dan zou dit inderdaad wel eens kunnen werken. Ik ga het uitproberen. Groetjes weer van Diana.

This was a great idea, and I'm going to do this with my cling stamps. One question though, what was the purpose of stamping the stamps on paper before putting them in the CD case; was this to "season" them, or was there another purpose?? Thanks!

Is it possible to make a photo copy from the plastic sheet with the pictures. Placing a white sheet of paper behind them and making a copy. It would save on so much work.

You could make a photo copy but then you would not see how well they stamp for image clarity when you go to the catalog.

Ivonne Rivas Actually, s t a m p i n g the image gives you the information as to just how well the stamp transfers the image. In the case of the stamps this presenter (sorry...didn’t note her name before writing...forgive me.) is showing us, HER stamps are of excellent quality...not much “skipping”.

I’ve got feelers out to find the answer to that question regarding SILICONE stamps, but, per the info I’ve gleaned on y.t., if the acrylic and photopolymer stamps get less tacky, the protocol is to wash them with mild soap and water, and let them dry before attempting to use them again. I haven’t seen any thing further on what to do if that fails.

I bought mine at a company here in the netherlands that makes all kinds of cases for other companies to put in ad-stuff of that company for in giftbags or to hand out at company fairs and such.

JBLdy That’s when you get creative, and divide and conquer! Divvy up the pieces in a way that makes sense to you, and put the pieces into more than one case. If you have a background stamp that doesn’t fit in a case, slide it into an Avery Elle “sleeve”. Good luck with your project.

Rose Teds She didn’t respond I guess. But from what I gathered from others who have presented stamping how-to videos, the purpose of the sanding is to remove the surface oils and “tooth” the surface so that it more readily accepts the ink.

***** Hoi Debby, maakt het nog uit welk schuurpapier je dat doet (fijn of grof) en hoe vaak je over de stempels moet gaan? Ik heb inderdaad gemerkt dat de inkt en de distress markers niet goed hechten aan de clear stempels. met rubberen heb je dat minder.

De stempels komen van de Action. Oh en ik denk dat je beter het vraagteken (?) kunt gebruiken als je vragen stelt en niet het uitroepteken (!) Nu is het net of je tegen me schreeuwt en dat is vast niet je bedoeling ;-)

Als je met Memento stempelt, kun je gewoon met lotion-babydoekjes de stempels schoonmaken of met een beetje water en hadnzeep. Bedankt voor het kijken!
